The core competencies of the ideological and political discipline in ordinary high schools summarized in the "Curriculum Standards for Ideological and Political Education in Ordinary High Schools(Revised in 2017 and 2020)" cover four aspects: political identity,scientific spirit,rule of law awareness,and public participation.Political identity literacy ranks first among the four core competencies,indicating the importance of cultivating political identity literacy among high school students.In fact,citizen political identity is related to the rise and fall of a nation,the long-term stability of a country,and the smooth operation of society.High school is a critical period for students’ growth in all aspects.As a reserve force for China’s socialist modernization construction,the level of political identity of high school students is not only related to their personal future,but also to the future of the country and nation.It can be seen that the cultivation of political identity literacy among high school students has significant and far-reaching significance.This article is based on the requirements of the "New Curriculum Standards" and takes high school ideological and political courses as the carrier.From the perspective of core literacy,with the original intention of not only achieving the teaching purpose of cultivating students’ political identity literacy,but also providing methodological inspiration for optimizing students’ political identity cultivation mode and environment construction,starting from the two major domestic and international practical backgrounds,the research significance of the article is clarified from both theoretical and practical dimensions.Through a review of research on political identity cultivation both domestically and internationally,it has been found that there is relatively little research on the cultivation of political identity literacy among high school students.Based on teaching practice,the research direction of this article is to cultivate students’ political identity literacy through high school ideological and political courses.This article investigates and analyzes the current situation of cultivating political identity literacy among high school students through a combination of questionnaire surveys and interviews.It is concluded that the problems in cultivating students’ political identity literacy in high school ideological and political courses include: insufficient awareness of students’ political identity,weak willpower,and limited practical opportunities;The main reasons for the knowledge-based goals,single methods,superficial content,and simplified evaluation of teacher cultivation are the low comprehensive quality of teacher "teaching loss" cultivation,poor initiative awareness of students’ identification with "learning neglect",lack of an environment for cultivating "education lack" in schools,misleading students’ value judgments due to social "bad atmosphere",and obvious constraints on cultivation due to the national "examination system".Finally,based on the actual teaching of high school ideological and political courses and the students’ learning situation,this article proposes optimization strategies for cultivating high school students’ political identity literacy from four aspects: following cultivation principles,improving cultivation guarantees,enhancing cultivation abilities,and improving cultivation initiative.
