Based on the Chinese classroom teaching practice in the primary stage of a primary school in northeast Thailand,this study combines discovery-based teaching method with comprehensive courses,and preliminarily explores the application of discovery-based teaching method in the primary stage of Chinese teaching in primary schools in Thailand by means of theoretical research,teaching design and practice,questionnaire survey,teacher interview and achievement assessment.This paper verifies the applicability of discovery teaching method in Chinese comprehensive courses of primary schools in Thailand,and analyzes and discusses the teaching process and effect of discovery teaching method,so as to provide reference for subsequent research on discovery teaching method and practice.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction explains the research reason,research status,research purpose and significance,and research content and methods.The main text is divided into five chapters: the first chapter studies the overview of discovery teaching method,and standardizes the teaching principles and teaching steps of discovery teaching method in the classroom of Chinese as a foreign language;Chapter two,by analyzing the results of questionnaire survey and teacher interview,mastered the overall teaching situation of the school and the characteristics of the students,and carried out the feasibility analysis of the application of discovery teaching method in the primary stage of Chinese as a foreign language.The third chapter,according to the actual situation design teaching experiment,and gives the teaching design concrete implementation cases;The fourth chapter,after the implementation of teaching,based on the comparison of classroom observation and pre-test results as well as the post-implementation questionnaire,and using SPSS software for systematic analysis,discusses the main factors affecting discovery-based teaching as"students’ Chinese foundation and cognitive level,classroom environment and students’ confidence",and concludes that "in the primary stage of Chinese class,Compared with traditional teaching method,the implementation of discovery teaching method is more effective for the students with good classroom discipline atmosphere,appropriate Chinese foundation and cognitive level,and strong self-confidence.This conclusion also verifies the applicability of discovery teaching method in the primary stage of Thai primary Chinese comprehensive course.The fifth chapter provides some suggestions on the application of discovery teaching method in the primary stage of Chinese teaching based on the feedback generated during teaching and the factors that influence the success of discovery teaching.The conclusion summarizes the main points of this paper and points out the shortcomings and prospects of the research.
