Homework is an essential part of teaching design and an effective tool for evaluating both the teacher’s teaching effectiveness and the students’ learning level.In the past,homework has been regarded as a means of consolidating classroom teaching and improving student grades.However,students have long been burdened with low-quality homework,which has gradually become a burden on their academic performance.In order to alleviate students’ academic burden and promote their comprehensive development,the Ministry of Education issued documents in April and July 2021 respectively to reduce students’ academic burden,emphasizing innovative homework design and improving homework quality.At the same time,the "Compulsory Education History Curriculum Standard" issued by the Ministry of Education in April 2022 also puts forward specific requirements for homework.Therefore,it is urgent and necessary to innovate homework design,improve homework quality,and alleviate students’ academic burden,which is not only a practical demand but also a response to the new curriculum standards.This article focuses on homework design from the perspective of achieving subject core literacy goals and explores strategies for innovative homework design.The article consists of five parts: the first part is the introduction,which includes topic selection,research significance,definition of related concepts and theoretical basis,domestic and foreign research summary,research methods,and innovation.Through analysis of collected literature,this article defines the concepts of homework,history homework,and history core literacy,and uses the recently developed area theory,Bloom’s taxonomy theory,Taylor’s pattern theory,and learning transfer theory as the theoretical basis.The research methods mainly include literature research,survey research,and case analysis,exploring the combination of theory and practice,with two main innovations:new research angles and new research content.The second part is a survey of current junior high school history homework design and implementation.Some schools and teachers were selected for the survey,and the survey results were analyzed to summarize the problems existing in current junior high school history homework and conduct specific analysis of the problems.The third part is the principles and innovative paths of design.Based on the analysis of the problems in the questionnaire and related theories,the author believes that homework design based on achieving subject core literacy goals should follow several principles,namely,the principle of interestingness,the principle of inspiration,the principle of moderation,and the principle of comprehensiveness.The author believes that following these four principles in the process of designing homework can make homework design more in line with the needs of students and stimulate their learning motivation,achieving the goal of core literacy.At the same time,the author puts forward three innovative paths: the guiding path of homework goals,the process path of homework design,and the optimization path of homework evaluation.The fourth part is the main part of this article.Based on the current situation of junior high school history homework and related theoretical basis,the author believes that homework design can be innovated from four aspects: homework goals,homework content,homework form,and homework evaluation.Through innovative homework design in these four aspects,it is expected to stimulate students’ learning interest,arouse their motivation,and ultimately achieve the goal of cultivating students’ subject core literacy.The fifth part is the conclusion and shortcomings of this article.
