| Time management,as an important self-management ability, has an increasingly significant impact on individual and social development with the change of times.Whether an individual can manage time effectively has become an important symbol of modern society. For children in large classes, time cognition and time management tendency are very important. However, there is a lack of attention to children’s "time management ability" in existing studies. Therefore, this study focuses on the improvement of time management ability of children in large classes.Combined with the existing research on the time management ability of children in large classes at home and abroad, and based on the age characteristics of children in large classes, this study divides the time management ability into two dimensions: time cognition and time management inclination, including five aspects: timing, time point, time interval, time experience and time efficacy. On this basis, the researchers conducted pre-tests on the children in the experimental class and the reference class in the early stage of action, and summarized the development status of the children’s time management ability in the large class on the basis of pre-observation: first, children lack the initial ability of time management;Second, parents lack the quality of teaching time management;Third, teachers do not pay enough attention to time management.According to the development level and current situation of children, this study formulated an action research plan for improving the time management ability of children in large classes, carried out a three-stage action research in the section of "action goals and plans--action process and results--action evaluation and reflection",implemented and evaluated according to the plan, and developed a second stage implementation plan while reflecting on the deficiencies, which was promoted layer by layer and spiralized. To complete the three steps of the action,so as to improve the children’s time management ability, and summarize and refine the experience.Through the comparative analysis of the measured data before and after the study,it is concluded that "the time management ability of children in the experimental class is significantly improved" and "the time management ability of children in the experimental class is significantly different from that in the reference class".In the whole process of action implementation, children and researchers have gained growth. On the one hand, children have mastered the basic concept of time, acted more actively, and improved their planning. On the other hand, the professional quality of the researchers has been improved and more practical experience has been accumulated. This study summarizes the relevant suggestions to improve the time management ability of children in large classes: first, respect the physiological basis and enrich children’s existing cognition; The second is to guide perceptual experience,to understand the different forms of time;Third, the environment edifies the infection, internalizes the social function of time;Fourth, repeated practice and exploration to construct the internal ability system. However, there are some limitations in the implementation process of the whole action, such as the low quality of home interaction due to the impact of the epidemic, and the abstract "time" is difficult for children to understand. |
