Effective time management skills can make personal career development more plentiful,and also can improve the quality of life of self. As a special education professional researcher, I think children with mental disability also need education of time management skills. But in real life, mental retardation children’s time management ability is generally did not receive attention and development. Long-term life without time management and planning makes the development of mentally disabled childen’s career meaningless.There are many domestic and foreign research related to time management, but the study about special students’ time management ability is very rare. The aim of this study is to do more detail exploration about mentally disabled childen’s time management and its trainning by using the existing relevant researches for reference. The main purpose of this study is to explore whether mentally disabled children’s time management skills has developmental potential on the basis of case study of time management ability’s current situation. This research mainly adopts the action research method. Designing thematic teaching about time management in the view of the time management ability of case by reflecting on and modifying continually in the process of implementation.And then,continuing teaching actions,keeping circulating process.At last,exploring the implementary process of the whole research.The results showed that: 1.Mentally disabled children’s time management ability has the potential of development;2.The topic teaching of time management has certain effect;3. The teaching of mentally disabled children’s time management ability is affected by many factors; 4.The support and cooperation from family is an important guarantee of training the ability of time management.
