The ideological and political theory courses in universities(hereinafter referred to as "ideological and political courses in universities")are the main channels and positions to encourage students to adhere to the correct political direction and value orientation. They bear the important mission of implementing the fundamental task of moral education and cultivating new people who are worthy of the great task of national rejuvenation.Enhancing students’ subjectivity and establishing their subjectivity is not only an inevitable result of deeply understanding the laws of education and teaching, but also an important focus on deepening the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses and improving teaching effectiveness. In the teaching process of ideological and political courses in universities, highlighting students’ subjectivity, stimulating students’ sense of classroom ownership, encouraging them to actively participate in the classroom, and achieving students’ free and comprehensive development are the fundamental goals pursued by ideological and political course teaching. As the learning subjects of ideological and political courses, college students can only respect their subjectivity, tap into their potential as the main body, and transform them from "I want to learn" to "I want to learn",from passive to active,in order to make the content of ideological and political education penetrate their minds and hearts. The main content of this study is to explore strategies for enhancing students’ subjectivity in the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in universities. In the preface, based on extensive reading and analysis of relevant literature, the core concepts of subjectivity, subjectivity, and student subjectivity in ideological and political theory teaching in universities are defined; Then it systematically combs the theoretical basis for the improvement of students’ subjectivity in the ideological and political course teaching in colleges and universities, which is based on the Marxist theory of human subjectivity, the theory of people’s overall Development theory, the principle of dialectical relationship between internal and external causes, and the important theory of the CPC on ideological and political education Piaget’s constructivist learning view and Rogers’ humanistic education view are important theoretical references; On this basis, the important practical significance of enhancing the subjectivity of students in ideological and political education in universities is expounded for implementing the people-oriented educational concept, enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities, promoting the comprehensive quality development of ideological and political teachers, and achieving the comprehensive development of college students. And a combination of questionnaire survey and individual interviews was used to conduct a thorough and detailed investigation into the current situation of students’ subjectivity in ideological and political education in universities.Through data analysis and organization,it has been found that the subjectivity of college students has not been fully utilized in the teaching of ideological and political courses in universities, mainly manifested in the lack of autonomy, initiative, and creativity of some college students in the learning of ideological and political courses. The reasons for these shortcomings are multifaceted.Firstly, some college students are confused about their own subjectivity, which is mainly reflected in their weak self-awareness,biased understanding of ideological and political courses, and utilitarian tendencies in their motivation to learn ideological and political courses;Secondly, the efforts of some ideological and political course teachers to guide students to exert their subjectivity are not yet sufficient, manifested as the need to strengthen the comprehensive literacy of some ideological and political course teachers, the failure to highlight the status of college students as the main body in teaching concepts, insufficient efforts to mobilize students’ subjectivity in teaching methods, and the lack of close connection between teaching content and the actual needs of students as the main body;Thirdly, the external conditions for schools to ensure the full play of students’ subjectivity still need to be improved.Specifically, the large class teaching environment is not conducive to the expansion of students’ subjectivity thinking, and the imperfect teaching evaluation mechanism hinders the full play of students’ subjectivity. In response to the issue of insufficient subjectivity of students in ideological and political education in universities and the analysis of its reasons, this paper mainly explores effective strategies to enhance the subjectivity of students in ideological and political education from three aspects: individual students, ideological and political education teachers, and schools.Firstly,at the individual level, students should establish a sense of learning ownership and enhance their internal learning motivation;Secondly,at the level of ideological and political course teachers, they should play a leading role in promoting the construction of student-centered teaching models;Thirdly,at the school level,we should adhere to student-centered approach and inject strong vitality into students’ subjectivity.
