| The world of education is shifting from a stock of knowledge to the development of learning qualities that are intrinsic to the current and future learning and development of young children.The development of good learning qualities in young children is closely related to the family environment.In searching and reading research on the quality of learning in young children,researchers found that most of the research on the factors influencing the quality of learning in young children is focused on the family and kindergarten levels,with the family level mostly involving the socio-economic status of the family and parenting styles.Therefore,this study examines the role of parent-child play on children’s learning quality from the perspective of the factors that influence children’s physical and mental development,based on the positive role of the family environment on children’s development,and the spiritual environment of the family.This study takes Kindergarten Middle Class children and their parents as the research subjects and adopts a research paradigm that combines quantitative and qualitative research to study the relationship between parent-child play and young children’s learning quality,and includes family closeness as a mediating variable to explore the current situation of parent-child play,family closeness and young children’s learning quality and the current situation and influence mechanism between the three,as a base to consider how to improve the family spiritual environment to This is the basis for considering how to improve the spiritual environment of the family in order to promote the development of learning quality in young children.The following conclusions were drawn from this in-depth study.1.The quality of parent-child play is generally good,with parents paying more attention to guidance and interactivity in play,followed by initiative and equality in play.An analysis of differences in parent-child play in terms of demographic variables found that: there were no significant differences in parent-child play by gender;there were significant differences in family socio-economic status(SES);and there were no significant differences in family structure.2.The overall development of learning qualities of young children is at a moderate to high level,but there is unevenness in the development of the dimensions.The five dimensions are: curiosity and interest,persistence and attention,creativity and invention,reflection and explanation,and initiative,in descending order.There is a significant difference in the curiosity and interest dimensions of learning quality by gender,but no significant effect on the other dimensions;there is a significant difference in learning quality overall and in all dimensions by family socio-economic status(SES);there is no significant effect on learning quality by family structure.3.The family closeness of young children is at a medium to high level.There is no significant difference in the gender of the children;there is a significant difference in family socio-economic status(SES)and family structure.4.There is a significant positive relationship between parent-child play,family closeness and children’s learning quality;parent-child play has a significant positive predictive effect on family closeness and children’s learning quality,and family closeness has a significant positive predictive effect on children’s learning quality.5.Family closeness partially mediates the relationship between parent-child play and children’s learning quality,i.e.parent-child play can have a direct influence on children’s learning quality on the one hand,and an indirect influence on children’s learning quality through family closeness on the other.Based on the findings of the study,the researcher proposes the following recommendations: firstly,parents should establish a correct concept of parent-child play to improve the quality of parent-child play at home;secondly,parents should create a good family environment to improve the level of family intimacy;secondly,parents should pay attention to the development of children’s learning quality and relaxation;finally,play should be used as a fulcrum to stimulate children’s learning potential. |
