In this study, the textbook "KDL Physical Education and Health Course(Level2)" is selected as the teaching guide, and the PE teaching intervention experiment is carried out on the elementary school students of Level 2 in the county town.TGMD-3scale is used as the evaluation index to evaluate the development of students’ basic motor skills. The aim is to verify the effect of KDL Physical Education and Health course(hereinafter referred to as KDL course)in developing students’ basic motor skills,so as to improve students’ basic motor skills and promote students’ participation in sports. Methods: Literature method, experiment method, video observation method, mathematical statistics method. Results: 1)Before the experiment, the difference comparison results between the experimental group and the control group show that the P values of age,height,weight,BMI,sub-items of displacement skill,sub-items of material control skill, total score of displacement skill, total score of material control skill and total score of basic motor skill are all greater than 0.05.2)After the experiment, the difference of basic motor skill level between the experimental group and the control group show that the P value of all the test items of displacement skill is less than 0.05 except for the test items of running and standing long jump;In each item of object control skills, the P values of the other test items are all less than 0.05 except for the test items of two-handed ball catching, dribbling in place, hitting the rebound ball from falling and kicking the fixed ball. The P values of displacement skill, object control skill and basic motor skill are all less than 0.01.3)The comparison results of the differences in basic motor skills of the experimental groups before and after the experiment show that the P values of the other test items are all less than 0.01 except for the test items running in displacement skill and throwing ball in object control skill. The P values of displacement skill, object control skill and basic motor skill are all less than 0.01.4)The comparison results of the difference of basic motor skill level of the control group before and after the experiment show that the P value of all the displacement skill sub-items is less than 0.05 except for the test items of running, jumping and sideslip. In each item of object control skills, except for the test items of overhand throwing, underhand throwing and hitting fixed ball, the P values of the other test items are all less than0.05;The P values of displacement skill, object control skill and basic motor skill are all less than 0.01.Conclusions: 1)KDL course is suitable for physical education teaching in county primary schools, and has an obvious promoting effect on the development of basic motor skills of Grade 2 students in county primary schools, and can comprehensively improve the level of basic motor skills of students.2)Traditional physical education is not comprehensive in the development of basic motor skills of Grade 2 students in county primary schools.Teaching is mainly carried out to develop students’ basic motor skills related to teaching content.3)The effect of KDL teaching on the balanced development and promotion of basic motor skills of Grade 2 students in county primary school is better than that of the control group.
