Exercise assessment,as an important part of exercise teaching system,is a key means to test the quality of students’ exercise learning. In order to give better play to the effectiveness of assessment for learning and to realize the depth of elementary school students’ exercise learning, elementary school language teachers’ exercise assessment should also go deeper, that is,the depth of exercise assessment.In-depth assessment refers to the activities that teachers, led by the consistency of teaching assessment, aim at solving the core problems of composition and improving the ability of composition, making value judgments and giving timely feedback on the results of students’ composition, trying to achieve deeper understanding, experience and reflection of students’ knowledge of composition through assessment, and internalizing the knowledge of composition into students’ ability of composition. As the main vehicle of assignment review, students’ assignment texts can reflect the implementation of assignment review to a certain extent.A stratified sampling method was used to explore a sample of 120 exercises from grades 3 to 6 in A school in J city, and a purposeful random sampling of interviews with six elementary school language teachers and six students in the classes they taught was also used to review the shallow performance of current exercise review, such as vague evaluation criteria, single form of review, generalized content of review, and poor effectiveness of review. The analysis of the reasons for the above performance revealed that it was related to the lack of effectiveness of teachers’ assignment design, the backward concept of assignment review, the lack of literacy in assignment evaluation, and the lack of attention to assignment writing. In order to improve the superficiality of elementary school language exercises and to realize the depth of elementary school language exercises, teachers should firstly systematize and contextualize the design of the exercise tasks and present the task evaluation criteria;secondly, create process evaluation activities to help students construct knowledge and achieve deeper understanding of knowledge;again, promote the generation of higher-order thinking through ability-oriented intellectual evaluation;and finally, insist on continuous Finally,we insist on the combination of continuous evaluation and individual comments to guide students to reflect deeply and finally realize the transformation of learning results. In order to test the effectiveness of the in-depth assessment strategy, the above assessment strategy was used to design the unit 8exercise "Recommend a book" in the first book of the fifth grade of the Unified Edition language textbook. In this regard, schools need to develop appropriate teacher assessment mechanisms to motivate teachers to actively carry out in-depth review of students’ exercises. |
