With the rapid development of informatization,the deep integration of information technology and education has become the direction and trend of education reform worldwide.Virtual teaching aids resources based on the integration of information technology and education are constantly emerging.The advantages of virtual teaching aids such as flexibility,convenience,dynamism,interactivity,and repeatability have endowed and demonstrated their broad development and application prospects.It is worth exploring how to promote this excellent new teaching tool to effectively assist teachers and students in teaching and learning in the classroom.This study first reviews the current research status of virtual teaching aids both domestically and internationally through literature review.Secondly,based on the role of virtual teaching aids in enhancing students’ learning interest,assisting in concept understanding,and reducing cognitive load,a survey questionnaire on the current situation of middle school biology classrooms was designed to analyze the problems existing in the current middle school biology classroom and explore the feasibility of using virtual teaching aids to improve the problems.Then,the existing virtual teaching aids resources were organized,and the ways to obtain excellent biology virtual teaching aids and the characteristics of different virtual teaching aids were elaborated.Based on the characteristics of middle school biology disciplines,the selection basis,usage principles,and usage strategies of virtual teaching aids were proposed.Finally,based on the content of junior high school biology curriculum,guided by the above strategies and principles,we designed teaching cases and carried out action research to explore the actual effect of virtual education assisting junior high school biology teaching,and further collected teachers’ views on virtual teaching through teacher interviews.The experimental results show that the use of virtual teaching aids in biology classroom can improve students’ learning interest,classroom enthusiasm and concentration,enhance students’ self-efficacy,and reduce students’ cognitive load to a certain extent.The analysis of teacher interviews also shows that middle school biology teachers have a high acceptance of virtual teaching aids and recognize their convenience and role in biology classrooms,further confirming the feasibility and effectiveness of using virtual teaching aids to assist teaching in biology classrooms.This study can provide reference for promoting the application of virtual teaching aids in biology classrooms and exploring more efficient classroom teaching models.
