| "Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Task of Cultivating Morality and Cultivating People" has promoted the transformation of the discipline curriculum of morality and the rule of law in junior high schools in China towards focusing on the disciplinary education function,implementing the cultivation of morality and cultivating people,and improving students’ core academic literacy.The new era,new textbooks,and new literacy have put forward higher requirements for the discipline of morality and the rule of law.In this context,large unit instructional design with a focus on core literacy emerged as the times require.In order to change the existing teaching modality,students work in a new way with the assistance of unit theme guidance and context creation,laying the foundation for achieving the learning objectives of this unit,enabling students to deeply learn in real situations.Therefore,large unit instructional design is regarded as a new approach to education and teaching,Not only can it actively implement and implement the concept of the new curriculum reform,provide a good learning environment for the teaching of moral and rule of law courses in junior high schools,but also contribute to the cultivation and exercise of core literacy in the discipline of moral and rule of law.This article has conducted a further exploration of the theory of large unit instructional design by consulting domestic and foreign research results and integrating them with current and advanced teaching ideas and concepts.The large unit teaching design is based on the reverse design teaching theory,constructivist learning theory,and Gestalt psychology learning theory.At the same time,it analyzes the necessity and feasibility of developing a large unit teaching design for moral and rule of law courses in junior high schools,and proposes optimization strategies for the large unit teaching design of moral and rule of law courses in junior high schools from five dimensions: teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching tasks,teaching evaluation,and educational and teaching concepts.Based on the above teaching design path,the fourth unit of Grade 8,"Safeguarding the National Interest," is selected as an example to conduct a practical study of large unit teaching design from the perspective of core literacy in the discipline of ethics and the rule of law.The study believes that large unit teaching design should adhere to the principles of cultivating humanity,integrity,situational awareness,and creativity,which is of important value in comprehensively cultivating students’ core academic literacy,There is an inherent fit between it and cultivating students’ core academic literacy.At the same time,when designing large unit teaching,there are still some issues that need to be paid attention to: enhancing the coherence of teaching objectives,improving the integration of teaching content,optimizing the cohesion of teaching activities,and improving the comprehensiveness of teaching evaluation.Taking the core literacy of Chinese students as the background,this paper discusses the value of large unit instructional design in the cultivation process of junior high school students’ subject core literacy,and proposes ways to improve large unit instructional design in the context of subject core literacy,with a view to providing reference and reference for frontline teachers in designing large unit instructional designs for junior high school moral and rule of law courses. |
