A Practical Study On The Capacity Enhancement Of Social Work Interventions In Community Social Organizations From The Perspective Of Empowerment Theory

In the report of the 20 th Party Congress,it is stated that the system and methods of social governance at the grassroots level should be improved and innovated,and the system of social governance for common building and sharing should be improved.Community governance is an integral part of social governance,and community social organisations,as an important vehicle for community governance,play an important synergistic role in participating in community governance by expressing residents’ demands and assisting communities in dealing with community affairs.However,on the other hand,due to internal and external constraints,the problem of community social organisations’ own lack of capacity is particularly pronounced,making it difficult for them to play a role in strengthening links with the community and improving community governance at grassroots level,making capacity enhancement training for community social organisations an important issue.With the professional philosophy of "helping people to help themselves" and empowering clients,social work has been actively involved in nurturing community social organisations,playing an important role in enhancing organisational capacity,promoting organisational development and optimising community building.Based on the above reality and background,this study examines the process and effectiveness of social work interventions in enhancing the capacity of community social organisations in the Y community through the lens of empowerment theory.Firstly,through literature research and field visits to community Y,we analysed the current situation and the reasons for the lack of capacity of the "Mothers Together Group" in community Y and conducted a needs assessment.Secondly,the feasibility and necessity of social work intervention in the capacity enhancement of the Mothers Together Group was demonstrated.Thirdly,in order to improve the lack of capacity of the Mothers Together Group in Y Community,the social workers carried out practical activities to improve the capacity of the Mothers Together Group in phases and summarised the effectiveness of the service.Finally,based on the empowerment theory,the research on the capacity enhancement of social work interventions in community social organisations is summarised and problems are reflected upon,and targeted suggestions are made for the capacity enhancement of social work interventions in community social organisations,with a view to providing reference for future research on the capacity enhancement of social work interventions in community social organisations.
