Under the background of the proposed aesthetic education policy in the new era and the education reform entering a new stage,attaching importance to innovation orientation and centering on the improvement of core qualities,children’s dance education,as an important part of the popularization of art education and aesthetic education,has gradually attracted attention.In children’s dance teaching,it is necessary to enhance students’ initiative and express themselves with their bodies.Creative dance focuses on the physical and mental development of children.It is a form of dance teaching that emphasizes students as the center,teachers guide and develop students’ thinking on the body and inspire students’ creativity of the body.This paper uses the method of literature,questionnaire,teaching practice,observation and other research methods.Firstly,it mainly summarizes the basic concept of creative dance,design principles,exploration elements and children’s dance.Secondly,it explains the physical and mental inspiration of creative dance to children in dance teaching.Then,based on the theoretical basis of creative dance,this paper tries to integrate traditional cultural characteristics to design creative dance teaching examples for 9-10 year old children,and enters into classroom teaching practice to analyze and reflect on the teaching process.In the end,this study concludes that creative dance promotes children’s physical development and enhances their enthusiasm for learning dance and traditional culture.To further enrich the teaching practice of creative dance,and provide certain teaching programs and experience for the development of children’s dance education.
