The educational policies of our country propose to carry out “project-based and cooperative learning” in compulsory education in order to “effectively improve the quality of classroom teaching”;The new curriculum standard proposes to create authentic situations for students and emphasize students’ initiative,which places higher demands on the emotion,attitude,and value dimensions of teaching and learning.Through classroom observations and literature review,we found that the level of students’ classroom participation in the teaching and learning process of IT course is low and there are many problems about cooperative attitude in the process of cooperative group learning.Studies have shown that suggestopedia can inspire students’ thinking,stimulate their interest and motivation,and have a positive impact on cooperative behavior in teamwork.However,the application of suggestopedia in IT course has not been sufficiently studied.How to apply suggestopedia to design project-based instruction activities for junior high school IT course to promote cooperative learning activities,in order to improve students’ cooperative learning attitudes is the focus of this study.Based on activity theory and discovery learning theory,combining with the characteristics and principles of suggestopedia,starting from the status quo of IT course instruction in junior high school,this study summarizes the principles of designing project-based teaching activities applying suggestopedia,and designs project-based instruction activities in two rounds taking the project-based activity process frame as the main line.The result of the quality of students’ products suggests that the quality of students’ products in the experimental class is significantly higher than that in the control class,the result of the questionnaire suggests that the students’ satisfaction and participation in group cooperative learning in the experimental class is significantly better than that in the control class.In conclusion,the design and implementation of the project-based instruction activities applying suggestopedia in this study could improve the quality of students’ products,could raise the degree of satisfaction and participation in cooperative learning,that is,the activities could improve students’ attitudes in cooperative learning.All in all,this study could enrich the methodology of IT course and and provide the feasible solution for IT course cooperative learning in junior high school. |
