At present,as one of the keywords of educational reform,project-based learning which becomes the primary study of China’s experts,scholars and front-line educators,has a unique advantage in cultivating students’ skills in the 21 st century and promoting the development of students’ comprehensive quality.Currently,the practical research of project-based learning is in the stage of in-depth exploration,but there are still some difficulties.For example,it’s difficult for educators to design the project-based learning cases;there is still “non-project” or “shallow project”phenomena in project-based learning.As a kind of thinking concept,strategic method and tool,Design Thinking is often used to solve the problem of poor structure,which can help teachers innovate teaching design from the three levels of concept,mode and tool,and solve the difficulties in developing project-based learning cases.Therefore,in order to improve the ability of teachers to carry out project-based learning,change the situation of “non-project” and “shallow project”,try to introduce the theory of Design Thinking,explore the methods and paths of project-based learning case development,and carry out the development and application of project-based learning cases based on Design Thinking model,the research contents are as follows:Firstly,the study summarized the research status of project-based learning and Design Thinking at home and abroad.And the study also summarized the connotations and models of that,the application of design thinking in the field of education,the problems to be solved.Besides,teachers are investigated for clearing the problems existing in the development of project-based learning cases.The inquiry results show that teachers have a positive attitude towards project-based learning.But they are difficulty in deeply exploring the chemical knowledge of unfamiliar materials,refining the core knowledge of the subject,designing and dismantling driving problems,designing project activity tasks and learning evaluation.Secondly,the study’s main task is constructing a project-based learning case development model which is based on the Design Thinking model.After analyzing the classic model of Design Thinking—EDIPT model,connotation,principles,etc,and clarifying the process,connotation,content of learning-oriented teaching design mode and project-based learning,the research discusses the possibility and necessity of Design Thinking to guide the development of project-based learning cases.On the basis,the research tried to build a design-based framework project-based learning case development model which is using the relevant concepts of Design Thinking as the guide,and using the EDIPT model as the framework of the teaching design path.Finally,after developing a practical project-based that learning case development worksheet,the research demonstrated the case development process,reviewed the model and work order.In order to enable teachers to easier use the model,the study transformed it into a wieldy visualization tool,the work order with the characteristics of a driving problem chain and attribute table.Besides,the study selected the project theme of "how to scientifically use chlorine-containing disinfectants" to demonstrate the use of the work order and completed the implementation of the project.In the end,comment form was issued to evaluate the feasibility of the project-based learning case development model and work order based on the Design Thinking model,and collect feedback.The results show that the project-based learning case development model that based on the Design Thinking model enriches the theory of project-based learning teaching design in China,provides new ideas and perspectives for the development of project-based learning cases,and provides powerful practical tools and support for front-line teachers to develop project-based learning cases.The main innovation achievements of the research include: By combining Design Thinking with instructional design model,the study constructs a project-based learning case development model based on Design Thinking model;for visualizing the design thinking guidance project-based learning case development process,the research developed the project-based learning worksheet.
