The red gene is an advanced factor reflecting the spiritual pedigree of the CPC,which is constantly condensed and generated in the long-term struggle practice of the new democratic revolution and socialist revolution,construction and reform.The red gene contains the ideals and beliefs of communism,the firm stance of the proletariat,and the important spiritual qualities of Communists such as loyalty to the party,sacrifice,dedication,courage to assume responsibility,and innovation."The red gene is a valuable spiritual asset for the Chinese people.For college students in the new era who take on the great task of national rejuvenation,inheriting the red gene is an inevitable requirement for strengthening confidence in China’s path,system,theory,and culture,as well as an inherent meaning of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era.".Based on this,this article conducts research on the theme of how to inherit the red gene in colleges and universities in the new era.Through analyzing the significance and current situation of inheriting the red gene in colleges and universities in the new era,it proposes the path of inheriting the red gene in the perspective of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era.The thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.This section introduces the background of the topic selection,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research ideas and research methods.Based on the current research situation,the purpose and significance of this study are proposed.Chapter 2 is an overview of red genes.This section focuses on the concept of red gene,analyzes the basic elements of red gene,clarifies the source of red gene,and expounds the significance of inheriting red gene in universities.The third chapter is the status quo and cause analysis of the inheritance of red genes in universities.This part mainly elaborates on the problems from four aspects: the failure to effectively utilize red resources in ideological and political classrooms,the failure to effectively integrate red culture into college students’ practical activities,the insufficient dissemination and influence of red genes,and the failure to effectively exert the educational function of red genes,including the insufficient recognition of red genes in universities,the insufficient red cultural literacy of ideological and political teachers The attribution of the problem is explained from four aspects:insufficient exploration of the era value of the red gene and the negative impact of erroneous social trends.The fourth chapter is the path analysis of inheriting the red gene in universities in the new era.This part proposes countermeasures for universities to inherit the red gene from five aspects: integrating into the ideological and political classroom,integrating into the practice of college students,integrating into the red campus culture,integrating into the network media,and strengthening the social protection of red resources.
