With the development of taekwondo and the evolution of competition rules, taekwondo,as a confrontational event based on leg attack, increasingly requires athletes to have good lower limb strength,so the strength of taekwondo athletes’ lower limb strength is particularly critical in training and competition. In this study, the effect of HMβ(β-hydroxy-β-methylbutyrate)supplementation on the lower limb strength of male taekwondo athletes in Shaanxi Province was studied to explore the effect of HMβ supplementation on the lower limb strength of taekwondo athletes,in order to provide an experimental basis and reference theory for how to improve the lower limb strength of taekwondo athletes through nutritional supplementation. The research methods used in this paper include literature method, expert interview method, experimental method and mathematical statistics method. In this study,20 male athletes above the second level of the Shaanxi Taekwondo Sports Team were taken as experimental subjects, and the 20 athletes were divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group,10 people in each group, for a 4-week nutritional supplement intervention,Monday to Saturday every day before and after exercise in the morning and afternoon divided into 4 times(at least 30 min interval before and after exercise),the experimental group took the sports version milk powder with HMβ,and the control group took the same amount of commercially available ordinary milk powder.During the experiment, the experimental variables were controlled by monitoring athletes’ training and diet, and the influence of other factors on the experimental results was excluded, and 20 taekwondo athletes were tested on the rapid strength of the lower limbs, maximum strength of the lower limbs and endurance of the lower limbs by the body composition tester(In Body570),POWERMAXVII.power bicycle and ISOMED2000 constant speed test system before and after the experiment, based on the needs of this study. The data obtained before and after the experiment were summarized and inducted, and the SPSS25.0statistical software was used to use the independent sample T-test and the paired-sample T-test method to carry out the intra-group and inter-group before and after the experiment.Research results:(1)Athlete training, sleep and diet monitoring results: For the training, sleep and diet of the two groups of athletes during the experiment, there were no significant differences between and within the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).(2)Body composition test results: After the experiment, the body fat of the athletes in the experimental group was 5.68±2.81 kg,the body fat percentage was7.96±2.61,and the skeletal muscle was 39.85±5.92 kg,all of which were significantly different from the control group after the experiment(P>0.05).(3)Maximum strength: the maximum squat weight in the experimental group after the experiment was 95.63±16.35 kg,which was significantly improved compared with the pre-experiment(P<0.05),and there was a significant difference with the maximum squat weight of the control group after the experiment(P<0.05);after the experiment, the knee joint 60°/s flexor and extensor relative peak moment,knee240°/s flexor relative peak moment, right knee joint 240°/s extensor relative peak moment, left hip 60°/s flexor relative peak moment, left hip 240°/ The relative peak moment of flexor and extensor muscle, the relative peak moment of flexor and extensor muscle of the right hip at 60°/s,and the relative peak moment of extensor muscle of the right hip at 240°/s were significantly increased(P<0.05),and there were significant differences between the relative peak moment of the flexor muscle of 60°/s of the knee joint, the relative peak moment of the flexor and extensor muscle of the hip joint at 240°/s,and the relative peak moment of the flexor and extensor muscle of the right hip at 60°/s in the experimental group(P<0.05).(4)Strength endurance: the maximum number of 80%RM squats in the experimental group after the experiment was 14.56±5.25 times, which was significantly improved compared with the pre-experiment(P<0.05),and the knee lift in place in the experimental group was 63.50±4.27 times in 20 s after the experiment, which was significantly improved(P<0.05)before the experiment, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05)compared with the control group 20 s after the experiment;the 30 s lapinal jump score in the experimental group after the experiment was 56.60±4.14 times Compared with the pre-experiment,there was a significant increase(P<0.05),and the number of horizontal kicks in the experimental group around 30 s after the experiment was significantly increased, which was 44.44±3.28times(P<0.05),and there was a significant difference with the number of horizontal kicks about 30 s after the experiment in the control group(P<0.05);after the experiment, the average torque ratio of the left knee flexor muscle, the average torque ratio of the right knee extensor muscle,The average torque ratio before and after hip flexors was significantly increased(P<0.05),and there were significant differences between the anteroposterior and posterior torque ratios of the right knee extensor and the right hip extensor after the experiment(P<0.05).(5)Fast strength: the standing long jump score of the experimental group after the experiment was 2.60±0.14 m,which was significantly improved compared with the pre-experiment(P<0.05),and there was a significant difference(P<0.05)with the control group after the experiment;the vertical jump height score of the experimental group after the experiment was 59.30±4.90 cm,which was significantly different from the control group’s longitudinal jump and high score after the experiment(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)The nutritional intervention of taekwondo training combined with 4-week HMβ supplementation promotes the increase of muscle content in the body,so HMβsupplementation may have an improving effect on the maximum strength of athletes’ lower limbs.(2)Nutritional intervention of taekwondo training combined with 4-week HMβsupplementation can help enhance muscle strength and endurance,so HMβsupplementation may have a positive effect on the improvement of athletes’ lower limb strength and endurance.(3)The nutritional intervention of taekwondo training combined with 4 weeks of HMβ supplementation has positive significance for the performance of athletes’ maximum muscle strength in a short period of time,so HMβ supplementation may have an improving effect on athletes’ rapid strength of lower limbs.
