Research Objective: To explore and analyze the effect of Plyometric training on the lower limb explosive power of high-level female soccer athletes from universities in three dimensions: vertical explosive power, horizontal explosive power, and lower limb muscle strength. The study will investigate the impact of 8 weeks of Plyometric training on the scores of six tests, including standing vertical jump, running vertical jump, standing long jump,30-meter straight sprint,1RM squat, and peak isokinetic torque of knee flexion and extension at60°/s.Research Method: The study employed literature review, expert interviews, questionnaires, experiments, and mathematical statistics. The study sample comprised 24 female soccer athletes from the Wuhan Sports University team,12 of whom were assigned to the experimental group and received Plyometric training, while the other 12 were assigned to the control group and received traditional resistance training.Experimental results:(1)After 8 weeks of intervention, both the experimental and control groups showed improvement in their vertical explosive power. The experimental group showed a 5.32% improvement in standing vertical jump and a 7.16% improvement in running vertical jump, while the control group showed a 3.39% improvement in standing vertical jump and a 3.39% improvement in running vertical jump. The data comparison showed that Plyometric training was more effective in developing the lower limb explosive power of high-level female soccer athletes from universities.(2)Both groups showed improvement in their horizontal explosive power after the intervention. The experimental group showed a 4.12% increase in standing long jump and a 3.29% increase in 30-meter straight sprint, while the control group showed a 2.05% improvement in standing long jump and a 1.65% improvement in 30-meter straight sprint. This indicated that Plyometric training was superior to traditional resistance training in developing the horizontal explosive power of high-level female soccer athletes from universities.(3)The experimental group showed a1.76% improvement in 1RM squat,a 1.43% improvement in left knee flexion,a 1.66%improvement in right knee flexion,a 1.11% improvement in left knee extension, and a 1.38%improvement in right knee extension.Meanwhile, the control group showed a 2.20%improvement in 1RM squat,a 5.58% improvement in left knee flexion,a 5.30% improvement in right knee flexion,a 4.10% improvement in left knee extension, and a 3.92% improvement in right knee extension. It was evident that traditional resistance training was more effective in developing the lower limb muscle strength of high-level female soccer athletes from universities. Conclusion: Plyometric training can effectively improve the lower limb explosive power of high-level female soccer athletes from universities in both vertical and horizontal dimensions. However, traditional resistance training is more effective in developing the lower limb muscle strength of high-level female soccer athletes from universities. Therefore, when designing training programs for high-level female soccer athletes from universities, specific training goals should be taken into account, and appropriate training methods should be chosen accordingly. |
