| The implementation of quality education and the overall reform of education and teaching are the primary tasks of implementing the new curriculum standards.The Outline clearly points out that the focus of the new curriculum reform is the curriculum structure,and the three-level management system of national curriculum,local curriculum and school curriculum must be implemented to change the drawbacks of excessive curriculum management and improve the adaptability of localities,schools and students.Therefore,the implementation of school-based curriculum has become one of the important links in China’s current basic education reform.Compared with other disciplines,biology is more closely related to the production and life of human beings.Teachers should take the core quality of the subject as the guidance,the comprehensive quality of students as the purpose,attach importance to the superior resources of local schools,and study the content of the school-based curriculum with local characteristics.The campus plant ecological resources contain wealth biological knowledge,which is easy to obtain and relatively safer.While students learn about knowledge and get close to nature,it also helps to cultivate scientific thinking and exploration ability.In the process of structuring and implementing the school-based curriculum,teachers can improve their professional qualities,students can learn biological knowledge from life,and the development of school-based curriculum has also enriched and improved the curriculum structure to a certain extent.Firstly,the study describes the research background,analyzes the research status and theoretical basis,and lays a theoretical foundation for the author to develop schoolbased curriculum on plant ecology.The preliminary survey of school-based curriculum development was carried out in the form of paper and online questionnaires,aiming to understand the understanding and attitude of some teachers and students in Liuyang City towards the development of school-based curriculum of characteristic plant ecology.The survey found that:(1)most teachers have participated in the development of school-based curriculum,but there is still room for progress in teaching content and form;(2)Both of teachers and students hold a positive attitude towards the development of school-based curriculum of plant ecology on campus.Then in order to effectively promote the development of school-based curriculum,the author summarizes the principles,objectives,contents and basic teaching methods of the school-based curriculum.(1)The development principle includes five aspects: scientific,adaptable,practical,pertinent and developmental;(2)The specific content of the school-based curriculum includes four topics: investigating the population density of dicotyledonous plants on campus,observing the spatial structure and main types of campus plant communities,investigating the energy flow of artificial ecosystems on campus,and investigating the impact of school personnel on the campus environment.Through the specific teaching implementation,the pre-test and post-test were carried out with the prepared exercises to test the teaching results,combined with the process evaluation,post-implementation questionnaire and evaluation scale,to understand the opinions and suggestions of teachers and students on the school-based curriculum of plant ecology on campus.The final results show that students have a deeper understanding of the plant ecological environment on campus through course learning,have mastered certain ecological knowledge,and have achieved good results in teaching practice.Based on the specific implementation and the evaluation of teachers and students,the author summarizes the following research conclusions: the implementation of the school-based curriculum "Exploration of Campus Plant Ecology" has cultivated the students’ core biological literacy,improved the professional level and quality of teachers,and promoted the development and deepening of the school’s teaching and research business.The innovation of curriculum lies in the setting of teaching objectives,the selection of teaching content and the teaching place with the characteristics of the school.The deficiencies need to be further studied and improved,and five optimization suggestions are put forward in this regard:(1)improve the diversified evaluation mechanism of school-based curriculum;(2)The class schedule can be adjusted according to the implementation;(3)Teachers take the initiative to learn and actively participate in the development of school-based curriculum;(4)Teachers can conduct preliminary investigations on campus plant diversity;(5)Schools should increase investment in the research and development of school-based curriculum. |
