The Ministry of Education’s "Standards for Ideological and Political Curriculum in Ordinary High Schools(2017 Edition)"(hereinafter referred to as the "New Curriculum Standards")points out that the subject content of the new curriculum reform should be closely related to the theme of the times and cultivate the core literacy of the discipline,and the high school ideological and political curriculum needs to be more activity-oriented.At the ideological and political theory class teachers’ forum held in 2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly pointed out: "To run a good ideological and political theory class,the most fundamental thing is to effectively solve the fundamental problem of what people to train,how to train people,and for whom to train people." On March 6,2021,when visiting members of the education circles attending the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The ideological and political class should not only be taught in the classroom,but also in social life",and he stressed that ’the great ideological and political courses’ should be fully utilized,must be combined with reality,can’t be taught only according to the script,which is lifeless and lacking of attractiveness.This points out the direction of our efforts for us to take good high school ideological and political classes in the new era.In today’s society,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and the new era has put forward new requirements for new talents,and the high school ideological and political classes in the new era need to be practiced,life-oriented,and targeted,and this requires ideological and political classes Teachers should base themselves on the ideological changes and inner demands of young students,closely combine with reality,emphasize the awareness of problems,and timely absorb the background of the times,fresh practice and vivid examples into the teaching content,so that the theory is no longer boring and the curriculum is more grounded.These requirements coincide with the topic-based teaching method,and the new curriculum standard proposes that it is necessary to promote teachers to change their teaching methods and carry out the teaching of topical teaching methods through the selection and discussion of topics.In the context of the steady and orderly promotion of the reform of college entrance examination education in the whole country,Chongqing adopts a 3+1+2model.How to make the high school ideological and political class come alive and move,so that more students like politics,choose politics has always been a problem that the author is exploring,in the front-line teaching,especially after the revision of the new curriculum reform of political textbooks,the four textbooks have been greatly integrated and modified compared to the old textbooks,and a lot of theoretical knowledge with strong ideological guidance has been added,which has given teachers and students great challenges.Students who have just entered the high school stage have produced the stereotypes and misunderstandings that politics is unpredictable,far from life,rote memorization can improve grades,how should front-line teachers live in more theoretical political classes is the top priority we face,before exploring a lot of teaching methods,such as: cooperative inquiry method,situational teaching method,flipped classroom,etc.,all teaching methods point to one direction-return the classroom to students,based on the educational concept of the main body of students to start again,I decided to explore a more knowledge-generating and engaging topical approach to classroom teaching.The research on the topic-based teaching method in this article will start from the basic concept of the question-based teaching method,and analyze the meaning and characteristics of the topical teaching method of the high school political science class in the first part,and comprehensively see that the topic-based teaching method pays attention to the unity of ability and literacy in the curriculum objectives,the unity of knowledge and life in the teaching content,the unity of generation and personality in the teaching process,and the unity of process and result in teaching evaluation,so as to draw the broad significance of the exploration of the topical teaching method;In addition,in the second part,the scope of application of the topical teaching method is circled in the high school ideological and political teaching,and the problems in the application of the topical teaching method of the high school ideological and political class are proposed: if the topic design is unreasonable and cannot arouse the interest of students,it is manifested as the topic design is not hot enough,not life-like,not hierarchical enough,and not teaching enough;The effect of the topic activities is not good,and the students’ sense of harvest is weak,which is manifested as the lack of diversity,lack of interest and lack of effectiveness of the topic activities;The evaluation of the middle school is not three-dimensional,which is manifested as a single evaluation standard and a limited evaluation object;In the third part,in view of the reasons for the existing problems,it can be understood from the main object of teaching,such as the failure of high school ideological and political class teachers to implement the new curriculum standard reform,which is manifested in the conservative teaching philosophy of some high school ideological and political class teachers,the insufficient teaching ability of some high school ideological and political class teachers,and the large subject difference between students,and this subject difference can be traced to the previous learning foundation and learning habits and the diversity of students’ personalities that restrict the development of topic activities.Of course,there is also a very important reason that the topical teaching evaluation mechanism lags behind the development of teaching concepts.In the fourth part of this article,strategies for solving and improving the topical teaching method of high school ideological and political classes will be proposed according to the problems and reasons,and the author believes that the following aspects can be started: setting up scientific teaching topics,optimizing the topical teaching environment,improving the topical teaching ability,and improving the topical teaching evaluation.It is hoped that through the research of this article,it can provide a little help to improve the teaching effectiveness of high school ideological and political classes and implement the core literacy of high school ideological and political classes.
