In high school,a special stage of life,students are facing the important college entrance examination.Their parents pay special attention to the students’ performance in several major examination subjects,under the influence of the traditional view of examination-oriented education.Therefore,at this stage,most of the schools and teachers also focus their attention on general knowledge courses teaching,which results in the neglect of students’ ideological,moral and psychological construction in high school.Under tremendous pressure,many high school students suffer deviations in their psychological development,which adversely affects their future study and the formation of their values,so it is especially important to strengthen mental health education for high school students.How to integrate psychological health education into high school ideology and politics classes,thus,becomes a common concern in the education field.In this context,this paper investigates the integration of ideological and political education classes and mental health education in high schools at present and makes an in-depth analysis of the current situation,with three main problems in this area discovered.And this paper tries to provide reference for the integration of ideological and political education classes and mental health education and to contribute to the reform of high school education in China,by analyzing the causes of the above problems and giving targeted strategies to solve them.This paper consists of three parts.The first part is to define the basic concept of integrating mental health education into ideological and political education classes in high school,and to discuss the feasibility and necessity of the integration of the two.The second part analyzes the current situation of mental health education integrating into the ideological and political classes in high school from the students’ perspective,teachers’ perspective and curriculum perspective,respectively and discovers certain problems.The third part explores feasible strategies to integrate mental health education into the ideological and political classes in high school through mechanism and system innovation and the whole teaching process.This research is of great significance to enrich and deepen the advocated interdisciplinary teaching at present,and enrich and deepen the researches on the combination of high school ideological and political class and mental health education.In addition,it also helps to promote the new curriculum reform and quality education.
