Folk art is a living habit of human,folk art is the intangible cultural heritage with national and local characteristics.They are a culture that is pass inherited through words and deed,folk culture contains a unique national spirit.Folk customs,folk art,folk culture,is the oral and behavioral inheritance of culture.Because of its way of passing on the art by word of mouth and death,it is vulnerable and easy to disappear in the development of society.We should cherish them more.The significance of inheriting and protecting the traditional culture lies in carrying forward the national spirit,strengthening the national cohesion and sense of belonging,watering people’s spirit,making life more charming and elegant.In recent years,with the advancement of urbanization,the "farming culture" formed in the agricultural society has been under unprecedented impact.Although cultural departments at all levels have spared no effort to rescue,but for various reasons,the protection and inheritance is still difficult as desired,some cultural traditions are quietly passing away,and some intangible cultural heritage is still facing the danger of extinction and loss.It may be a kind of beneficial exploration and practice to let the Progressive Art enter the campus and integrate the fine art class with the folk art,hoping to protect and inherit the folk custom,folk art and folk culture.Chenggong,named by the Ministry of Culture as "the hometown of Chinese peasant painting(peasant painting)," has unique regional characteristics and unique cultural accumulation.Chenggong peasant painting with its inheritance of folk cultural tradition,bold absorption of modern art exaggeration,symbol borrowing,application of random,to create a unique painting language,full of soil fragrant style characteristics,won the appreciation of all parties.It also makes up for the gaps in the development of school-based curriculum and local curriculum in Chenggong area,and has a direct practical significance for the author’s future work.At the same time,I also hope to provide useful reference materials for art educators in Chenggong area,which can cause more people to pay attention to the peasant paintings in Cheng Gong,the local folk art,and the intangible cultural heritage.
