Speaking of folk art and traditional culture, many people think that it seems to be far away from our modern life. Only at the Spring Festival and other holidays, people will pay attention to and observe it. In fact, the New Year pictures 、 paper-cut and so on ,we can see the shadows of folk art everywhere. However, due to the impact of modern life, many people have gradually forgotten the traditional Chinese culture, resulting in traditional Chinese culture and folk art is not taken seriously, no one to inherit and carry forward. In order to protecting and inheriting the traditional culture,in the course of students’ art classes, the rational development and use of local characteristics culture is a good way."Local culture is clearly pointed out:" teachers should use the art textbooks creatively,according to the characteristics of students, schools and local teaching content selection,the art should be changed and re-creation: using the local self - heating and cultural resources flexibly, developing school - based curriculum actively, and enhancing the link of teaching art and local natural and cultural characteristics.Wuyang County is located in the Central Plains, under the Luohe City, Henan Province, known as China’s top ten rural painting. For thousands of years, people living on the shore of the water, with their wisdom to creating the brilliant history and culture. In particular, Wuyang peasant painting has juvenile shape, pure interest,which is known to the world. This paper adopts the methods of questionnaire survey, and other methods to collect the data, and for the first time put forward Wuyang peasant painting into primary school art classroom. The article also has specific educational methods and teaching examples. The school-based curriculum that focuses on local peasant painting in Luohe area not only broadens the content of art teaching, but also enhances the professional skills of teachers, which can stimulate the enthusiasm and initiative of students learning ,convey the traditional Chinese culture and enhance the national Pride.The study fills the gaps in the development of school-based curriculum in Luohe area,which is direct practical significance to the author’s future work. At the same time, I hope that it can provide useful reference materials to the art educators in Luohe area, which can cause more attention to the Wuyang peasant painting, the concern of the local folk art and the intangible cultural heritage.
