The Interpretation of the Geography Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017 Edition)requires that all localities and schools,according to their own characteristics,set up local geography and school-based courses to meet different development needs,so as to meet students’ interests and personal development needs.Local geography is a geographical science based on natural geography,human geography,human land relationship and local system.The development and application of local geography curriculum resources can promote the development and improvement of local geography.For middle school students,using local geography cases to carry out geography education can promote students’ strong interest in geography learning,and help them develop their patriotic enthusiasm and local complex.For teachers,when integrating and using local geographical resources,they can try to innovate and reform geographical teaching methods,which is conducive to their professional development.Poyang Lake has attracted much attention because of its unique cultural connotation and rich natural resources.This paper takes Poyang Lake area as the center,and uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire,interview,case analysis and field survey to study the application of Poyang Lake local geography curriculum resources in middle school geography teaching.In this paper,50 geography teachers from four high schools in the author’s area and 500 students from Nanchang No.17 Middle School were selected as the research objects by random sampling method,and some geography experts and geography teachers from the surrounding areas of Poyang Lake were interviewed.The survey of teachers and students includes: teachers and students’ familiarity with the natural and economic location of Poyang Lake,the penetration of local geography in teaching,and the teaching methods and effects of local geography.Through the questionnaire analysis of the application of Poyang Lake local geography curriculum resources in middle school geography teaching,it is found that the current local geography teaching in middle schools around Poyang Lake is faced with three problems: 1.The teachers and students have insufficient awareness(low understanding and mastery);2.Objective conditions(incomplete discipline system of local geography in middle schools,difficulties in teaching and narrow access to resources);3.Inadequate teaching application practice(single means of application and collaboration).Based on the current situation and problems of the application of geography curriculum resources in the Poyang Lake region where the author is located,and in combination with the concept of "situational teaching theory" and the basic principles of diversification,development and innovation,the author tries to put forward the following strategies:1、 On campus strategy.1.Collection and arrangement of local geographic resources of Poyang Lake;2.Use the Poyang Lake curriculum resources to choose appropriate teaching methods throughout the whole teaching process(case teaching,creating situations,sublimating the classroom,making test questions,and using them as teaching examples and reasoning materials);3.Promote the systematization of Poyang Lake local geography curriculum(improve local geography textbooks,strengthen teacher training,build a digital curriculum resource database,and carry out a variety of geographical discipline activities).2、 Off campus strategies: 1.Organize geography research activities;2.Carry out geographical field survey;3.Create a geographic practice activity base.3、 School,family and society should work together to reduce teaching resistance and improve teaching effect.Combined with the above teaching strategies,this paper designs the following four teaching examples based on the Poyang Lake local geography curriculum resources,which specifically demonstrates the application of local geography curriculum resources in middle school geography teaching.Teaching Example 1: Take the historical evolution of Poyang Lake,the largest freshwater lake in China,as an example to explore how teachers choose appropriate teaching methods to use the curriculum resources of Poyang Lake,and run it through the whole process of classroom teaching.Teaching example 2: taking the cause of flood in Poyang Lake and the construction of flood control system as an example,explore how teachers can use the curriculum resources of Poyang Lake to create classroom scenarios,introduce new lessons and achieve classroom sublimation.Teaching example 3: Taking the preparation of Poyang Lake local geography test questions as an example,explore how teachers can promote the systematization of Poyang Lake local geography curriculum.Teaching Example 4: Take Poyang Lake research activities as an example to explore how to use research activities to promote the use of local geographical resources in geography teaching.It is hoped that the writing of this paper can clarify the local geography curriculum resources in this region,improve the local geography teaching methods,improve the local geography curriculum system,and promote the development of local geography teaching in Poyang Lake area.
