A Study On Social Work Helping To Create Older Communities

The focus of social governance is on the community,and the difficulty of community governance lies in the renewal and development of old communities.On the one hand,the configuration of services and living environment in old communities can no longer meet the current needs of economic and social development,not to mention the needs of residents.In this context,solving the problems of old communities is of great importance to the residents of the community and the overall social image,and the government is adding the renewal and renovation projects of old communities to its administrative affairs.On the other hand,good community work is a good recipe for promoting a harmonious society.Community revitalization has been seen time and again in China as a proven method of optimising community governance and creating community partnerships.In the context of this paper,the main purpose of community revitalization in old communities is to meet the needs of residents for "people","culture","place" and "scenery" through specific building practices."It is a process of"making people" and "re-making" the community by promoting residents’ participation in the public affairs of the community.This paper takes the Q community in Hangzhou as an example for a case study to explore how social workers can work on the creation of old communities.Using the concept and working methods of the regional development model and the theory of strengths perspective as the theoretical basis,the social worker compares the needs and strengths of the old community and formulates a social work service plan for the creation of the old community.At the same time,through the specific practice of Q community,the author has analysed and summarised a set of three types of social workassisted old community creation models,including the "party-worker linkage" intervention type,the social work collaboration "partner" boost type and the government purchase of social work services to empower type,so as to To explore the role of social work and the role of social workers in the creation of old communities.At the same time,it will reflect on the problems that exist in the process of creation and consider how to solve them,so as to promote social work to better assist in the creation of old communities,and provide a model for other regions to learn from.
