The aging of the population makes it difficult for the traditional family pension to fully adapt to the requirements of today’s society, and the new pension model drives the pension to the road of industrialization, and the number of pension service institutions has increased significantly. From a macro perspective, the new pension model helps to solve the problem of "old age",but widowed elderly people,as a special group in pension institutions, whether they can adapt well to the transformation from family to institution,as well as their feelings and possible social adaptation problems in the process of this transformation,is a very important part of the development process of institutional pension. The elderly who enter the old-age care institutions must not only adapt to the unfamiliar environment, but also establish contact with the strange elderly and staff in the institutions. The elderly have changed from being completely autonomous in life to passively accepting the management of institutions, which will inevitably produce a sense of discomfort and resistance. If these problems are not solved,it will not only affect the quality of life of the elderly in their later years, but also is not conducive to the improvement of the quality of services by pension institutions.Under the guidance of the professional theory of social work, this paper comprehensively uses the literature method, interview method and observation method to study the widowed elderly in the H elderly care institution in Huadian City.Through the interview with the dean and staff of the H pension institution in the early stage, the widowed elderly were informed of the manifestations of life inadequacy after entering the institution, combined with the interview with the widowed elderly, the analysis of the results of the life adaptation assessment scale, and the referral of the person in charge of the pension institution to select three service objects,and5 intervention services were carried out respectively.According to the interview data and observation records of widowed elderly people, what are the manifestations of the life adaptation problems of service recipients in pension institutions and what factors affect the problems of life adaptation.Using case-by-case work methods, individualized intervention plans are formulated for service recipients to intervene, helping service recipients solve the problem of adapting to life in pension institutions and improving the quality of life in their later years. After the intervention,it was found that the professional method of social work intervened in the life adaptation problem of the service recipients, which not only helped the service recipients to obtain a sense of happiness, but also enhanced the positive evaluation of the institution by the elderly. This study attempts to use the research method from the elderly itself to supplement the micro research field of institutional pension, and the widowed elderly as the research object can also play a rich role in the field of life adaptation research to a certain extent, and provide a certain reference for discussing how social work can more accurately and effectively intervene in the life adaptation of widowed elderly people in nursing institutions. |
