People in middle age,in the case of declining physical function,but often faced with a special family structure,all aspects of life pressure will also increase.Accidental casualties,major diseases and other emergencies,the middle-aged widowed women into a more serious life dilemma.After the sudden death of their lifelong companion,they are faced with a severe psychological and physical test.Due to the change of family structure,their social role and social support network have changed in different degrees.How to help widowed women develop social resources,improve social support network,explore their own value and get out of the plight within the existing life scope is the focus of our social workers.This research adopts literature research,unstructured interviews,participatory observation,survey research methods,such as the authors X 8 middle-aged widowed women in community for data collection and analysis,found that the current rural middle-aged widowed women in common life dilemmas facing mainly concentrated in: physical quality decline,the psychological situation is grim,weakening the social support network,economic revenues.The main causes of the rural middle-aged widowed women’s plight are as follows.The individual receives education generally lower,the economic income is not stable,the traditional thought is imprisoned and so on several aspects.In order to minimize the influence of time self-healing,the author selected a woman in the X community who had been widowed for the shortest time as the intervention object of this case study.On the basis of ecosystem theory,advantage perspective theory,ABC theory and social support theory,from relieving grief,to expanding social support network,and then to tapping potential and inspiring confidence,the client has been gradually and deeply involved in the service,effectively helping the client to improve the life adaptation problems faced by the widow.In addition,by reflecting on the process of social work intervening in the life adaptation of widowed middle-aged women in rural areas,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in order to give full play to the advantages of social work and help them return to normal life. |
