A Study On The Life Adaptation Of Case Work To Rural Widowed Elderly

With the deepening of the overall opening-up policy,China's economic development has gradually moved to the fast lane.With the rapid economic growth,the improvement of material living standards and the long life expectancy of the people,the problem of aging is becoming more and more serious.More and more old people are facing the problem of widowhood.After the death of the old man's spouse,the response of the old people in rural areas is stronger than that of the old people in urban areas,and the problem is more complex,which needs more attention from the society.In this paper,the rural widowed elderly refers to the rural elderly over 60 years old whose spouse has passed away and only one of them is still alive.In this paper,life adaptation mainly refers to the process of how to overcome the abnormal emotions,overcome the physical,psychological and social problems,so as to restore the positive interaction with the external environment and finally achieve the balance between physical and mental conditions and the environment.Nowadays,material resources are unprecedentedly rich,but what is more needed for the widowed elderly is psychological comfort to prevent them from psychological problems when they adapt to the new life.In rural areas,because many of the elderly's children work outside and don't care enough for the elderly,they can't feel the mood of the elderly,and only provide necessary support for life,many of them have problems of life adaptation.According to the number of widowed old people in X village in Beibei District of Chongqing City,the author selected 10 widowed old people for interview and investigation,and found that the main problems are physical,psychological and social aspects,including the deteriorating physical condition,the increasing demand for spiritual support,self blame and lack of social support,etc.,and the mental problem is the most important and the biggest impact on the elderly.Through the analysis and intervention of the representative widowed elderly,it is found that providing family support and psychological comfort,and improving the social support network can help the elderly to solve the problems in the process of life adaptation,enhance their resistance to difficulties,and enhance their confidence in the future.This study found that the lack of spiritual support and social support network is the main reason for the village's widowed elderly to have life adaptation problems.How to better meet the spiritual support of the village's widowed elderly and improve the social support network is the problem that this study hopes to solve.This study attempts to explore a more efficient,convenient and reasonable way of social work intervention.The paper is divided into four chapters,the first chapter,it includes the research background and significance,literature review at home and abroad,research methods and research ideas.In the second chapter,the author uses the method of observational and interview to find and summarize the specific performance of the problem of life adaptation of the elderly widowed in rural areas,and analyzes the causes of the problem from various aspects and find that casework has an advantage in the problem of elderly widowed.In the third chapter,the author starts with the friends and hobbies of the case owner,and makes feasible service plan for the case owner according to the social support theory and energy increase theory,and records the eight service processes in detail.Self assessment and family assessmentand analyzes the data before and after the intervention to prove the effectiveness of the service.Finally,the author summarizes the experience of using the case method to intervene in this group,and points out that social workers should pay attention to digging deep problems and strengthening the construction of social support network of widowed elderly in rural areas.They also need to strengthen our professional quality and advocate the government to do a good job in social work service publicity,and pay more attention to the rural widowed elderly and other measures,hoping to provide some help for social workers to better serve the group.The smoothdevelopment of this study further shows that case work intervention plays an important role in solving the problem of life adaptation of the widowed elderly in rural areas.
