A Case Work Intervention Study On The Professional Communication Ability Of Crew Service Agency Employees

Nowadays,with the increasing demand of seafarers from the shipping industry,crew service organizations are facing the new situation of market development and are governed by the new requirements of international conventions.As these organizations directly contact and serve seafarers,it is worthwhile to investigate ways to promote the professional communication ability and interpersonal skills of staff in seafarers’ service organizations.To improve the professional communication ability of the crew service organization staff,to promote their personal further development,and to provide the enterprise with solutions to the problems of the staff’s poor professional communication ability,it is necessary to explore the solutions to the problems,to enhance the staff’s sense of happiness and belonging,for healthy development of the company so as to achieve the goal of boosting shipping industry development and building practical cases of social work intervention in aspect of interpersonal communication.Based on the cognitive behavior theory and advantage perspective theory and starting from the authentic data regarding the communicative ability of the employees from crew service organizations,this study uses case work of intervention for the employees of crew service organization,and makes a detailed analysis from the aspects of the basic situation of professional communication ability of the employees from crew service organizations,,the evaluation of existing problems,improvement plan and social work intervention.In this paper,the case work practice of X crew service agency staff is taken as an example,and by combining theoretical analysis and practical investigation,social work practice methods are explored for the purpose of improving the crew service agency staff’s professional communication ability,and promoting the prosperity and development of shipping industry.Through the analysis of three different types of intervention cases,it is found that social work practice intervention has a certain effect on improving the professional communication ability of the crew service agency staff.The case work method for social work and the value concept of helping others and self-help have a certain positive effect on improving the professional communication ability of the crew service agency staff.It is observed that social workers can,through social work theory and professional methods,improve the professional communication ability to work for the client,promote their professional communication willingness,enhance their professional communication skills,and also can correct their wrong professional communication concept,provide certain support and encouragement to the clients,so as to promote the clients’ own ability to develop.According to the investigation results and case intervention results,this paper also puts forward some suggestions for the seafarer service organizations from three aspects: service organization staff,crew organization and society.
