Graduate education is the highest level of higher education in China,which is of great significance to the cultivation of high level innovative talents.The key to improve the quality of graduate education is the harmonious relationship between supervisors and postgraduates.In the face of the endless contradictions,the relationship between them is still a topic worthy of further discussion.Among the factors that affect the relationship between supervisors and postgraduates,mutual understanding and care is the most important,which is the core of the relationship.How to understand the theoretical connotation of understanding and care in the relationship between supervisors and postgraduates? How to construct the path of understanding and caring? Based on the interpretation of understanding and care in philosophical hermeneutics and caring ethics,this study attempts to answer this question from the perspective of educational philosophy by using the methods of literature analysis,conceptual analysis and historical research.Considering the reality,there are contradictions of quantity and quality,emotion,justice and interest,and rights and responsibilities in the relationship between supervisors and postgraduates.The root of these contradictions lies in the lack of sufficient and real understanding and care between them.This is also the basis of understanding and care as the core of the relationship between students.On the basis of the existing research results,this paper divides the relationship into four dimensions: academic inheritance and innovation,emotional integration,integration of "yi" and interest,and co-construction of rights and responsibilities.Combined with the theoretical basis and typical cases of teacher-student interaction in the history of education at home and abroad,this paper explores the theoretical connotation of understanding and caring.The conclusions are as follows: supervisors understand postgraduates means following the educational art of teaching according to the aptitude,time and the environment,clarifying the meaning of benevolent love,enjoying the sacred sense of cultivating people in the process of selfless dedication;postgraduates understand the supervisors means clarifying the meaning of respecting for teachers,grasping the academic spirit of seeking the truth,and looking at the gains and losses in the long-term perspective;the interactive understanding between supervisors and postgraduates means to realize the inclusiveness of ideas in equal dialogue,to achieve emotional sublimation in mutual support,and to obey the spirit of contract,exercising rights and fulfilling responsibilities and seeking life meaning in academic exploration.Supervisors care for postgraduates means loving them in the impulse of the role of academic guides and helping them grow,feeling immersive and reasonably meeting the real needs of graduate students,and dialectically grasping the emotional concentration;postgraduates care for supervisors means active respond to the caring behavior of the supervisor;interactive caring between supervisors and postgraduates means coordinating the interests of the two parties based on moral beliefs and the sentiment of the supervisors and postgraduates,clarifying needs of both parties based on legal policies,and obtaining happiness in mutual support and encouragement.Combined with the theoretical connotation of understanding and care and the theoretical idea of supervisors and postgraduates co-creation,the specific path to realize understanding and care is proposed from three levels of practice idea,practice principle and practical measures in this research.First of all,we should grasp the idea of supervisors and postgraduates co-creation.Secondly,we should use complexity thinking to grasp the main contradictions of understanding and caring,which is compatibility and inclusion of humanistic feelings,empathy,sympathy and life encounters,cooperation and win-win and regard "yi" as interest,and contract spirit and go forward with weights,through the uncertain factors such as the diversity of guiding relationship types,ambiguity of boundary,individual differences and dynamic development.Finally,facing the realistic situation,we design a series of student guidance activities,create a campus cultural atmosphere,build an evaluation system and introduce corresponding policies and systems. |
