In 2020,the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Universities,Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era made it clear that labor education should be integrated into all academic sections.Labor education is also an important way to enhance students’ labor literacy,strengthen the guidance of students’ vocational values,and let students integrate into rural revitalization.It plays an important role in consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation and promoting rural revitalization.As an important part of training skilled talents,vocational colleges should fully think about how to carry out labor education,help students develop themselves,combine with the national development strategy,and consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation with the rural revitalization strategy.For the assisted students,labor education also shoulders the important mission of changing their concept,transforming them from recipients to helpers,and actively participating in the cause of rural revitalization.Therefore,vocational colleges to carry out labor education for assisted students can not only promote their own comprehensive development,but also have far-reaching significance for promoting the development of the country.This paper takes customized flight attendant class Y of S Open University as the research sample.The members of Y Flight Attendant Custom Class of S Open University come from Counties H,L and J in H Prefecture,Yunnan Province,which are still the national key support counties.In order to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and promote rural revitalization,S Open University has set up targeted assistance classes to provide educational assistance.This study mainly adopts the action research method,combined with the case study method,the questionnaire method,the interview survey method and the observation method.After the full preliminary investigation,the common problems of students are summarized as follows: The per capita income is not rich,the labor concept is unique,the labor spirit needs to be improved,and the values,gender and other concepts are relatively backward,Therefore,in the first round of action,the author designed and implemented 9 kinds of activity-based courses including storage and arrangement,career,case analysis,internal affairs arrangement,cooking crafts,walking visits,voluntary service,work-study and enterprise internship,aiming at students’ problems and development needs.After the first round of action,the students’ labor enthusiasm and ability have been significantly improved,and their personal interests have also been well developed.However,labor consciousness and values still need to be improved,and the scope of support is not extensive enough.Meanwhile,the author also realizes that students should not be restricted by a single occupation,but should be allowed to experience a variety of occupations according to their personal interests and actual abilities.In the second round of action,in addition to retaining the theory + practice course system in the first round of action,the author also strengthened the construction of caring environment,added vocational experience courses,provided students with more publicity opportunities,effectively improved students’ labor concepts and habits,and helped students to have a further understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses and the ability needs of various occupations.After the implementation of the two rounds of action,the expected education effect has been produced,including helping students to set up correct values,labor outlook and career outlook,improving students’ abilities in various aspects,correcting backward concepts,developing personal interests and hobbies,and enabling them to get paid through labor,reducing the burden of individuals and families,which is of great help to consolidate the achievement of family poverty alleviation.It also enhances students’ awareness and ability to revitalize their hometown.Through the analysis of the results of action research,it is concluded that the strategies of vocational colleges to carry out labor education are as follows: to provide paid labor activities with students’ pain points as the starting point,and to carry out labor education with distinct characteristics of material and spiritual help.Teachers should control the overall situation and avoid the negative effect.
