In the 21 st century of big data era,people are witnessing new technological revolutions such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality.Facing the diverse world of challenges and changes,the integration of science & technology(rationality)and aesthetic(sensibility)is the way out for social development.Aiming at improving children’s creativity and focusing on preschool art activities,the paper has carried out studies,in which thematic activities combining science and art have been designed and implemented.In thematic activities,using new science and technology teaching tools and venue teaching so that children can fully experience technology and beauty.From the perspective of children,based on the existing creativity evaluation scale,a multi-dimensional creativity evaluation system is established for the creative process and results of children to test the teaching effectiveness more comprehensively,which has certain reference value.The first chapter of the paper has defined the concept of "creativity",in which the author states that the study has explored children’s creativity from two aspects: creative thinking and creative behavior.The second chapter has reviewed the literatures on preschool art activities and the cultivation of children’s creativity,discovering that there have been few related teaching practice and research in China that have studied comprehensive art education.Therefore,the paper is of certain value.The third chapter has studied the present situation and problems of preschool art activity teaching in China,in which the author has interpreted the art skills and creativity from standards of preschool art curriculums.By using questionnaire survey and interview,the paper has investigated the present situation of preschool art teaching,and explored the defects of creativity cultivation in preschool art education in Shanghai.Based on chapter 3,the author has designed and implemented 3 interdisciplinary preschool art theme activities to improve children’s creativity.Referring to the creativity measurement standard by Isenberg & Jalongo(2012),chapter four has analyzed and evaluated the effectiveness of cultivating children’s creativity for the creative thinking and creative behavior of children in art activities,in which it has been proved that interdisciplinary thematic preschool art activities combined with science and art are effective in improving children’s creativity.
