History is a subject supported by historical materials.To form a correct cognition of history,we must rely on the collection,sorting and discrimination of historical materials.This paper holds that the historical materials in textbooks should be given priority when using historical materials in teaching.The application of textbooks and historical materials in history class can create relevant teaching situations and enhance students’ interest in learning.Taking historical materials as evidence can improve the rigor of argumentation and verify the text content of the textbook.In the interpretation of historical materials,the problem-oriented,can cultivate students’ thinking.This article holds that the unified compilation of high school history textbooks attaches special importance to the cultivation of students’ empirical literacy of historical materials.Compared with the people’s edition textbooks used in Zhejiang Province in the past,the two versions of textbooks both pay attention to the diversity of historical sources.However,the ancient history part of the new textbooks has a higher frequency of maps and pays more attention to the cultivation of spatial concepts,while the modern history part pays more attention to the quotation of original documents.In addition,the arrangement and presentation of historical materials in the new textbook also take into account the cognitive characteristics of middle school students.However,there are also problems that classical Chinese is long and too difficult for students to understand.From the perspective of the current teaching situation,the traditional classroom model still needs to be further transformed.Students still rely too much on teachers’ interpretation of textbooks and historical materials,and lack the ability to think independently.In order to change this situation,on the one hand,teachers need to set hierarchical problems around the textbooks and historical materials more rationally in the teaching design,and guide students to interpret independently.On the other hand,students need to be given more time to read and think independently outside the classroom,so as to further improve the effectiveness of textbooks and historical materials.
