| The 32 nd Tokyo Olympics is a special one,as the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the cancellation of scheduled events and the one-year postponement of events to be held in a live environment with no spectators.According to the requirements of the Olympic charter,the Olympic Games host country shoulder the responsibility of hosting the Olympic spirit and promoting smoothly,also have the duty to carry forward national culture and demonstrates its style,for the Tokyo Olympic Games organizing committee(TOC),how in such a special run competitions under the condition of implement the requirements of the charter as a new test.The function of new media precisely meets the communication needs of Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games in the special period.Therefore,this study chooses the communication channels of social media to study the communication of Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games.Weibo is the most active blog social media in China.In this study,tweets on weibo platform are used as the source of the research text,which also takes into account the richness and typicality of the content on this platform.TOC’s microblog communication agenda setting is the main object of this study,which is based on the network agenda setting theory.According to the basic principles of the Olympic Charter,the slogan and concept of the Tokyo Olympic Games and previous studies on the setting of media agenda,the core attributes of the agenda are summarized as five core attributes of the Olympic spirit,Olympic education,harmonious coexistence,emotional harmony and republican political neutrality,as well as the derivative attributes of politics,economy and media.Total 775 tweets,42,506 words of public comments and 900 posts of the International Olympic Committee(IOC)on TOC’s official weibo account during the Tokyo Olympic Games were captured.Through coding,GEPHI software was used to conduct social network analysis on co-occurrence relations.The study found that as the organizer and host of the Olympic Games,all actions of the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games need to comply with the Ioc Olympic Charter,so its microblog agenda must also comply with the REQUIREMENTS of the IOC Olympic Charter and actively promote Olympism.According to the basic principles of the Olympic charter and Tokyo Olympic slogan properties,extracting core agenda agenda through social network structure analysis,found that the four core attributes the Olympic spirit,Olympic education,together with concept of harmony and coexistence in the center of the structure,the connection between more thick,the correlation between each other is more outstanding.Moreover,according to the convergence of agenda setting between The Microblogs of Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and the International Olympic Committee,there is a strong correlation and the core structure is very similar.But there are also shifts in different agendas.The agenda content of @Olympic Games is more global and macro.@Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games mainly focuses on specific regions,competition process and standard culture,forming a unique cross-cultural communication content.Finally,@Tokyo 2020’s agenda-setting has no agenda-setting effect on the public’s agenda-setting.While the core attributes of @Tokyo 2020 also appear on the public agenda,the relevance is not significant.The correlation between TOC and IOC organization in media agenda setting is stronger than that in public agenda setting.This suggests that there is a high degree of interconnectedness between the agendas of organizations because there are other factors at work besides a similar concern for the Olympic Games themselves and a similar desire to promote Olympism.The agenda attributes concerned by the public are closely related to their own interests and concerns,and the public does not agree with the cross-cultural aspects of the organizational media agendaThe recommendations are aimed at the public agenda and appear to be somewhat independent of the MEDIA agenda of the OCOG.In the face of the new characteristics of the public agenda,the research believes that the following two aspects should be strengthened in the future large-scale sports events: First,in the agenda setting,especially in the agenda setting of cross-cultural communication,we should take the agenda related to public interests into active consideration and conduct benign interaction.Secondly,diversified participation methods should be selected according to the situation of the epidemic.Thirdly,"intercultural communication mode" should be shifted to "trancultural communication mode".This study uses the network agenda setting as the theoretical support,which broadens the research scope of the theory and provides feasible solutions for the research on the Olympic communication through social media,especially weibo media.In the spread of new media for the whole network in the field of public opinion,media and media room,set each other between the media and the public agenda phenomenon more and more prominent,this study as an attempt to spread are also seeking a feasible way to realize the networked more accurate detail research results,and for the future possible audience season with research experience and help. |
