| With the deepening of the aging trend in China, the number of disabled elderly people has further increased, and the care mode of the disabled elderly and the caregivers of the disabled elderly have also received more attention. In China, informal care has always been the main choice of care for the disabled elderly, but the widening care deficit has led to an increasing demand for formal care providers for disabled elderly people. However, caregivers experience less sense of achievement and lower professional identity in their work, which seriously affects the effectiveness of care. This study focuses on disabled elderly caregivers in market-oriented care as intervention objects, attempting to use social work methods to enhance their professional identity, optimize work experience, and improve the quality of care. The author interviewed four households of different types of disabled elderly people and their caregivers in the J community, and selected one of the caregivers as the intervention object, using the professional identity scale to measure and assess their needs.Based on the theory of empowerment, this study designed five stages of case intervention, such as "objective understanding of self——career change and cognition——improvement of career skills——career value and attribution——consolidation and reflection",which effectively enhanced the professional identity of the client, improved the enthusiasm of work, and then significantly improved the quality of care.Through the reflection on the practical intervention, the study points out that the professional identity of the disabled elderly caregivers should be improved from the aspects of occupational value, occupational emotion, occupational skills, support resources, and policy. In terms of occupational value, objective self-cognition and professional cognition should be established;enhance the sense of belonging of care providers;in terms of vocational skills, provide multi-level and multi-channel vocational skills training for care providers;in terms of support resource link, build the support system of care providers;in terms of policy, industry norms should be established and create a good atmosphere. |
