The Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022Edition)states that the language curriculum at the compulsory education level should implement core language literacy and cultivate students’ essential character and key competencies in four dimensions:cultural confidence,language use,thinking skills,and aesthetic creativity.The teaching of reading practical texts is an important part of language reading teaching in junior high school,and the reading of practical texts is about people’s ability to acquire and integrate information.Therefore,combining language core literacy and practical text reading teaching can help improve the quality of practical text reading teaching.The purpose of this paper is to propose the optimization strategies of reading teaching of practical texts in junior high school,enrich the theoretical study of reading teaching of practical texts in junior high school language,promote teachers’ professional development,and improve the effectiveness of reading teaching of practical texts.The main contents of the introduction are the origin of the study and the current situation of the study.This paper adopts the literature research method to organize and analyze the literature related to the teaching strategies of reading practical class texts in junior high school under language core literacy,and finds that the number of literature studying the teaching strategies of reading practical class texts in junior high school from the perspective of language core literacy is relatively small.The main content of the first chapter is an overview of language core literacy and practical texts.After defining the meaning of practical texts in the language teaching field,this chapter analyzes the selection of practical texts in the Ministry of Education’s junior high school language textbooks,summarizes the characteristics of practicality,rigor,and relevance of practical texts,and elaborates the relationship between language core literacy and the teaching of reading practical texts.The second chapter focuses on practical texts in junior high school.The second chapter focuses on the investigation of the current situation of teaching practical texts in junior high school.This chapter uses student questionnaires and teacher interviews to investigate the current situation of students’ learning and teachers’ teaching in the teaching of practical class text reading in junior high school,and to understand the dilemmas of teaching and learning practical class text reading at this stage.From the results of the survey,students’ problems in reading practical texts are mainly: their learning initiative needs to be improved,and their understanding of practical text reading ability is limited to exams.Teachers’ problems in practical text reading teaching are: the connection between practical text reading teaching and language core literacy is not strong,there is a lack of authentic learning situations and specific tasks,and the teaching evaluation method ignores the observation of the learning process.The third chapter focuses on the suggestions for optimizing the teaching strategies of reading practical texts in junior high schools.This chapter focuses on optimizing teaching strategies in three aspects:preparation,implementation,and evaluation.In terms of preparation strategies,reverse intervention strategies can be used to design teaching objectives,promote the effective integration of practical text reading teaching and language core literacy,and use cross-media teaching methods to broaden the reading channels of practical texts.In terms of implementation strategies,life contexts and activities are created around the teaching objectives to guide students to experience the practical value of practical texts in life contexts and to develop the key competencies needed in different life situations.In terms of evaluation strategies,we use a combination of performance and summative evaluation to evaluate students’ learning process and learning results of reading practical texts,so that the evaluation is more scientific and effective.
