In October 2018,the Ministry of Education issued the opinion on the implementation of the excellence in Teacher Development Plan 2.0,which clearly states the need to promote the integration of artificial intelligence,new technologies and other front-line courses,making full use of realistic technology,augmented realistic technology and mixed realistic technology,a number of situational and interactive educational resources are developed and constructed.The International Charter for Geography Education 2016 also puts forward corresponding requirements.Geography education should bring people core skills as well as core exploration tools.Therefore,under the background of information technology,teachers need to integrate new technology into geography classroom teaching,and under the support of VR technology,they can use static geographical knowledge to create virtual reality environment,students practice and learn knowledge in the virtual reality environment to achieve the goal of“Learning by doing”.In order to highlight the application value of VR technology,based on the research status quo of virtual reality teaching of domestic and foreign scholars,and based on the requirements of the new curriculum standard for students,this study clarifies the feasibility and practicability of VR technology into high and middle physical geography through literature research,questionnaire survey,counterinterview and case analysis,and uses Unity3 D engine to build a virtual interaction model with Visual Studio software supporting C #,With the support of constructivism learning theory,situational cognition theory,tower of experience theory and other teaching theories,the corresponding geography teaching mode is constructed,and the teaching case is designed and implemented in combination with the teaching content of Karst,Coastal,Glacier Landform.After the construction of VR model and case study,the author found that VR technology has the following advantages in entering the geography class of senior high school: the use cost is low,and only basic teaching equipment such as computers and electronic projectors can reach the environment required by VR interactive model.The operation is simple and easy to use.Only special keyboard keys and mouse buttons can be used to control the interaction model.It is beneficial to stimulate students’ interest in learning.The virtual reality environment created by VR technology can make students feel like they are in the real world,and use perceptual experience to stimulate students’ ednthusiasm and interest in learning,so as to achieve the rational sublimation of knowledge.It is more convenient to break through the key and difficult points of teaching,use 3D simulation model to present the key and difficult points of teaching,and students can break through the key and difficult points of teaching and complete the teaching tasks in exploring and solving problems in the virtual simulation model.From the educational value point of view,VR technology into high school geography class has the following characteristics: to cultivate students’ ability to observe and solve problems.Improve students’ ability of cooperation and communication.Enhance Students’ information literacy.To promote students’ geographical practice and regional awareness.
