The "5E" teaching mode is an inquiry-based teaching mode,and the concept of its teaching mode is consistent with the concept of developing students’ core literacy in chemistry as proposed in the new chemistry curriculum standards.Senior high school is the core stage of students’ all-round development,and it is also the key stage of cultivating students’ core literacy.The "5E" teaching model has five links,including introduction,inquiry,explanation,refinement and evaluation.This inquiry-based teaching model effectively improves students’ ability to construct knowledge independently,and promotes the development of students’ core literacy in chemistry.This paper takes the chemistry teaching of senior one as an example,and conducts a series of research on the "5E" teaching mode under the background of core literacy,which is mainly composed of the following five parts.The first part is the introduction and theoretical basis.By consulting a large amount of literature,the author focuses on expounding the research status of the "5E" teaching mode at home and abroad,sorting out the definition of related concepts,and summarizing the theoretical basis based on this mode,including constructive theory,meaningful learning theory and recent development.It has laid a good theoretical foundation for the development of this research.The second part is the analysis of the fit between the "5E" teaching mode and the cultivation of the core literacy of chemistry and the construction principles and strategies of the "5E" mode.According to the five links of the "5E" teaching model with different characteristics,the degree of fit is analyzed with the core literacy of the chemistry discipline,and the corresponding design principles and application strategies for each link are put forward to provide a theoretical basis for the subsequent teaching case design.The third part is the design of "5E" model teaching cases under the background of core literacy,including the selection of teaching content,the construction of teaching ideas and the design of specific teaching cases.Combined with the characteristics of the "5E" teaching mode and the core literacy of chemistry,the teaching content suitable for the "5E" mode in the compulsory first volume of the Jiangsu Education Edition was selected,and the teaching ideas were constructed.In order to build a literacy-based and efficient classroom,the overall planning of teaching cases and practice has been carried out,and a total of three teaching cases have been designed.The fourth part is the teaching practice and effect analysis of "5E" teaching mode.In order to understand the effectiveness of "5E" teaching mode applied in chemistry to improve students’ core literacy,practice and effect evaluation were carried out.The evaluation methods include questionnaire survey,interview and test paper analysis.Through multi-dimensional effect evaluation,it is found that "5E" teaching mode can effectively improve students’ chemistry core literacy level.The fifth part is the research summary and prospect.Through the analysis of teaching practice and teaching effect,the author draws four conclusions: First,the "5E" teaching mode is feasible in high school chemistry teaching;second,the "5E" teaching mode is conducive to stimulating students’ interest in learning and improving active construction of knowledge.Thirdly,the "5E" teaching mode has effectively improved the students’ group cooperation ability and language expression ability.Fourthly,the "5E" teaching mode has a positive impact on the improvement of students’ core literacy level in chemistry.At the same time,it also analyzes the shortcomings of this research and the later planning arrangements.
