The Ministry of Education promulgated a new version of the《General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards》in 2017,marking the official "literacy orientation" of China’s high school chemistry classroom teaching value orientation.The teaching mode of Interactive Historical Vi-gnettes(IHV)allows students to independently compile the scientific inquiry process of chemists in historical materials,and personally feel the spirit of scientists’ exploration of truth,which has many connotations and requirements for the core literacy of chemistry,and is a favorable means to develop students’ core literacy.Based on this,after reviewing a large number of literature on the core literacy of chemistry and IHV model at home and abroad,the author analyzes the basic principles of IHV teaching mode under the guidance of the new high school chemistry curriculum standards,and tries to construct an IHV model that promotes the development of the core literacy of chemistry among high school students,which is divided into three stages:(1)the preparation stage: including five processes: determining the theme,teaching analysis,formulating teaching objectives,sorting out chemical history materials,and planning the teaching process;(2)Implementation stage: including four processes: identifying chemists and key events,creating and rehearsing scripts,presenting drills,and discussing and communicating;(3)Reflection stage: The teacher guides students to reflect and analyze the historical framework of the entire short play,and condense the essential attributes of science contained in it.The teaching topic of "Properties of Chlorine" is used as an example to explain the model program.In order to verify the effectiveness of this model,control classes and experimental classes were set up to conduct teaching experiments,and four teaching themes were implemented: "Ionization of electrolytes","Redox Reaction","Properties of Chlorine" and "Periodic Table".After the experiment,the effectiveness of IHV teaching was tested by various methods such as literacy level test,after-class survey and analysis,and interview.The results show that in the high school chemistry classroom,teachers apply the IHV model to implement teaching,which can improve the internal driving force of students to learn chemistry,spontaneously and actively learn so that chemistry scores are naturally improved,and can also improve students’ core chemistry literacy,which is conducive to students’ all-round development,and provides a reference for front-line teachers to develop subject literacy in high school chemistry classrooms. |
