The Chinese nation is a united community formed through long-term communication and integration.Through the long process of production and life,all ethnic groups have jointly continued the glorious history of the motherland and created the brilliant civilization of China.The 2017 edition of the history curriculum standards for ordinary high schools requires history teachers to establish a correct view of history,cultivate students’ sense of Chinese national community,and enhance their sense of national identity.This is also a key point in cultivating students’ core literacy of patriotism in current history education.The current unified edition of high school history textbooks has added a lot of content about the history of ancient ethnic relations in China,including the history of communication and integration among various ethnic groups,the evolution and development of various ethnic minority regimes,etc.,providing more detailed materials for strengthening students’ identity education.This article is based on the unified edition of high school history textbooks.By reviewing the content of the history of ancient Chinese ethnic relations involved in the textbooks,combined with teaching interviews with frontline teachers and their own practical experience,based on a profound analysis of the content of ancient Chinese ethnic relations history,corresponding teaching strategies are proposed,hoping to provide teaching reference and guidance for frontline teachers.In the writing of this article,the author mainly divides it into four parts to elaborate:The first part mainly provides a preliminary review and interpretation of the history of ancient Chinese ethnic relations based on the 2017 edition of the ordinary high school history curriculum standards and the unified edition of high school history textbooks;The second part is a survey of the current teaching status of the history of ancient ethnic relations in China.It is conducted through student surveys and teacher interviews,analyzing the current teaching status and problems of the history of ancient ethnic relations in China at the student and teacher levels;The third part proposes corresponding teaching strategies for the history of ethnic relations based on the sorting,interpretation,and research of the previous textbook content.Firstly,by integrating the content of ancient Chinese ethnic relations history,thematic teaching of ancient Chinese ethnic relations history from different perspectives is carried out;Secondly,selecting historical materials from the history of ethnic relations to create historical contexts;The third is to use the changing map of territorial situation to present the changes in ethnic relations;Fourthly,highlight the historical contributions of ethnic minority historical figures and highlight the vividness of history teaching;Fifth,widely utilize local ethnic resources in teaching to enhance the breadth of teaching;Sixth,pay attention to the teaching connection between junior and senior high schools to improve the effectiveness of teaching.The fourth part starts from the teaching practice,focusing on cultivating students’ core literacy of patriotism,and designs and analyzes the lesson example of Lesson 11 of "National System and Social Governance" in elective one.
