China has been a unified multi-ethnic country since ancient times.During the long-term process of production and life,all ethnic groups learn from each other and help each other to create a splendid Chinese culture.The add of the history of the ancient Chinese ethnic relations in the history-teaching in high school can not only combine the three modules of politics,economy and culture,but also strengthen the students' understanding of ancient Chinese history a country that has gone through the wars and secessions but has always been a unified country.Moreover,it helps students understand the ethnic relations.In a word,it can strengthen the consciousness of ethnic unity and harmony and set up the correct national view of students.It can make them display the ethnic relations issues at the right position and promote the overall development,individual development and sustainable development of students.Literature research,case analysis and investigation were applied in the present paper.First of all,the content,characteristics and selection methods of historical materials of ancient Chinese ethnic relations in the history textbooks of senior high school ?the outline of Chinese and foreign history? under the new curriculum standard was analyzed.It is concluded that the content of ethnic relations should be appropriately added to textbooks,and the quantity and quality of the historical materials in the history textbooks of senior high school should be appropriately adjusted and improved during the teaching process.A large number of historical materials of ancient ethnic relations is essential for the history teaching in senior high school.According to the analysis of the value and significance of teachers and students during the teaching process of ancient ethnic relationship in senior high schools,further and deeper research of ancient ethnic relationship history of China is necessary,consequently.In order to prove this conclusion,questionnaires about the historical materials used in history classes were distributed to 12 front-line history teachers and 482 students in He Ze A middle school and Juan Cheng B Middle School.It is found that some teachers ignore the major position of students during the teaching process and payed little attention to highlight the functional role of ancient national ethnic.In particular,some teachers were likely to choose unmatched historical materials of ancient ethnic relations during the teaching process,which are not be closely combined with the context of ethic relations nowadays.For the problems of the historical materials of ancient Chinese ethnic relations in high school teaching,this paper attempts to put forward the policies for teaching improvement.Firstly,shift the focus of instruction from the teacher to the student,which means Student-centered learning.Secondly,students should be guided to have a comprehensive understanding of historical data.Thirdly,the accuracy and rationality of the historical data selected should be ensured.Finally,the education of history should be combined with contemporary society.Only when these aspects are closely combined in the teaching process,can students have a comprehensive understanding of the history of ancient Chinese ethnic relations,and then increase their patriotism and national consciousness.Therefore,the relevant part: "prosperity and national integration of Tang Dynasty" in the compulsory course "from Sui and Tang Dynasties to Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms" was taken as an example to further explain and solve this problem.A teaching case about the historical data seletion in ancient ethnic relationship was designed in this paper to specifically explain its application value in high school history teaching.
