According to the seventh national population census data released by the National Bureau of Statistics in 2021,the number of elderly people aged 60 and above in China has reached 260 million. With the rapid development of 5G mobile networks and the digital age,the number of elderly people using smartphones is constantly increasing.According to data released by Xinhua, the number of elderly people using smartphones to access the internet is 134 million. The outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic further increased the frequency of the elderly using smart phones, and pushed the elderly into the wave of mobile Internet. In recent years, there have been numerous cases of elderly people being scammed while using smartphones, which not only leads to economic losses and mental harm for the elderly population, but also prevents them from fully enjoying the convenience brought by smart technology. This thesis takes elderly people aged 60 and above in W Community,Yangpu District,Shanghai as the research object. In the early stage of group activities, the use of smartphones by the elderly was analyzed through unstructured interviews and questionnaire surveys, and the shortcomings of the elderly in terms of smartphone fraud prevention ability were summarized. The main manifestations were: firstly, the lack of knowledge about smartphone fraud prevention among the elderly in W community;Secondly, the elderly in W community lack the ability to identify smartphone fraud;Thirdly, the elderly in W community have insufficient coping ability after encountering smartphone fraud.Against this background, the author recruited 11 elderly people from W community as group members for six practical group activities, guided by the theories of empowerment and social support.Group activities help team members correct misconceptions, acquire knowledge of smartphone fraud prevention, understand common smartphone fraud methods, identify fraud information, and respond to smartphone fraud incidents, thereby comprehensively improving the ability of elderly people to prevent fraud through smartphones. At the same time, group activities help members gain access to interpersonal communication and knowledge learning channels, and build formal and informal support networks.By conducting group practical research on improving the fraud prevention ability of elderly smartphones,we have helped them systematically build a smartphone fraud prevention system. At the same time, effectively linking multiple resources, consolidating and strengthening the anti fraud ability of the elderly, has boosted their confidence and enthusiasm in anti fraud. However,in the process of group service, the author should pay attention to the diverse needs of team members, fully consider the particularity of the elderly group, and flexibly adjust activity arrangements. |
