Practical Research On Group Work To Enhance The Awareness Of Financial Fraud Prevention Among The Elderly

With the deepening of population aging and the increasing number of elderly people,the financial consumption activities of the elderly groups have become increasingly active.At the same time,financial frauds against the elderly also emerge in endlessly.Some lawless elements have seized the trend of the aging times,set up extravagant and confusing financial scams aiming at the characteristics of the elderly,such as weak financial knowledge,relatively blocked information and declining judgment ability,and defrauded the elderly of their money,which seriously violated their legitimate rights and interests,brought a double blow to the elderly in material and spiritual terms,and reduce the life quality of the elderly.Therefore,it is particularly important to raise the awareness of financial fraud among the elderly and enhance their awareness of financial fraud prevention.In this paper,the research on financial fraud at home and abroad is integrated,and the social work method of situational education group is used.Taking the elderly in XF community of S city as the research object,the enhancement of anti-fraud awareness of the elderly is explored,so as to help the elderly understand various forms of financial fraud,enhance their awareness of prevention,and thus improve their happiness in old age.This paper collects relevant information of XF community by means of questionnaire and interview,systematically analyzes the present situation and causes of financial fraud of the elderly in this community,and evaluates the needs of the elderly for financial fraud prevention.In XF community,eight group members who have been deceived were recruited on the principle of voluntariness.Supported by social learning theory and cognitive behavior theory,five group activities were designed and carried out,focusing on the elderly groups’ correct identification of financial scams,sharing of fraud cases,simulation of scenarios and short plays,and learning the means of safeguarding their rights.After the end of the group activity,through the process evaluation and result evaluation of the activity,it shows that the awareness of financial fraud discrimination and response of the group members have been improved to varying degrees,and the acceptance of situational education methods by the group members is also higher than that of ordinary lectures.Finally,the family should give full play to the endogenous power to enhance the support function;It is necessary to jointly prevent and cure the community to create a good external environment;It is necessary for the government to strengthen supervision and build an anti-fraud pattern,and multi-party cooperation and joint efforts should be made to raise the awareness of financial fraud prevention among the elderly.The innovation of this paper lies in adopting the group work method of situational education to enhance the awareness of financial fraud prevention among the elderly,which has a high degree of fit with the development characteristics of the elderly.Through role-playing and other activities,it can creatively strengthen the situational experience of the elderly and enhance their initiative in participating in activities.However,due to the limited access to survey data,the research may not be thorough enough,and further efforts are needed to fundamentally enhance the awareness of financial fraud prevention among the elderly.
