Autism originating from early childhood is a extensive neurodevelopmental disorder. The core symptoms include impaired social communication and interaction, and limited repetitive behaviors, interests,or activities.Noncompliant behavior is usually the first intervention target for children with problem behaviors, because the change of noncompliant behavior leads to the change of other nontarget behaviors.Video modeling can effectively improve the problem behavior of children with autism and promote the development of good behavior. It can effectively improve the problem behavior and promote the development of good behavior through video modeling.Interventions based on functional behavioral assessment are about meeting the child’s needs in appropriate and socially acceptable ways that benefit the child’s future development, furthermore, research has shown that best practices for providing behavioral support require the use of functional behavioral assessment and correlation analysis procedures based on evidence-based practice concepts to guide the implementation of interventions. Therefore, based on functional behavior assessment and video modeling as teaching method, this study explores the effect of noncompliant behavior intervention on school-age autistic children. In order to more effectively explore the individual differences in the intervention effects of different types of video modeling, this study analyzed the differences in the intervention effects of noncompliant behaviors of children with autism through self-video modeling and peer video modeling. In this study, the alternate experimental design used in single-subject studies was adopted.Three school-age children with autism were selected from a special education school in Qingdao, and the study was conducted for a total of 4 months with the help of video demonstration technology based on functional behavior assessment. With the help of relevant tools, the data of the baseline period, alternate treatment period, optimal treatment period and maintenance period of the subjects were collected.Through visual analysis and C-statistical analysis, the research results were quantified. The homeroom teachers of the subjects were interviewed to exploretheir views on this intervention study and establish social validity. The results show that:1.Video modeling has a good immediate effect on the improvement of autistic children’s noncompliant behavior.2.Video modeling has a good maintenance effect on the improvement of autistic children’s noncompliant behavior.3.There are some differences between self-video modeling and peer video modeling in the intervention of noncompliant behaviors in children with autism.4.Video modeling has good social validity to improve the noncompliant behavior of autistic children. In addition,in view of the above conclusions, the researcher makes several recommendations for teaching and studying children with autism: In the aspect of research,it includes enriching the types of research objects, focusing on the generalization of intervention effect and expanding the scope of intervention implementers;in terms of future teaching,it mainly includes focusing on the intervention of autistic children’s noncompliant behaviors based on functional behavior assessment, the flexible use of video modeling to intervene in autistic children’s noncompliant behaviors, and setting up emergency plans for video modeling to intervene in autistic children’s noncompliant behaviors.
