Shouting behavior including scream,cry,howl,groan and vocal repetitive behaviors,These actions are always causing trouble to other people.The children who have speech disorders and lack the skills to communicate with others will have a higher chance of showing shouting behaviors.Undoubtedly,screaming behavior will make their life quality drop.Their behaviors not only influence their own learning and development,but also bring great difficulties to teachers’ classroom teaching and management.This study used a single case study design.Functional assessment was used to intervene a child with autism,aiming to reduce the screaming behavior and shape the positive behavior of the children in their school.The function of the student’s problem behavior is to ask for something and escape the task.According to the functional assessment,the researchers used antecedent events controlling,consequence processing,and teaches positive behaviors and other diverse strategies.The findings of this study are as follows:The functional behavioral assessment could determine the function of shouting behavior for children with autism effectively.After the intervention,the frequency of problem behaviors of the student decreased significantly,and the intervention effect was good.There are following suggestions:The teachers should to learn more knowledge and skills of how to use intervention of the functional behavioral assessment.The school should attach importance to the problem behavior of autistic student,Set up an intervention team,and cultivate excellent rehabilitation teachers.
