Primary school students are in a critical period of growth and development,which is of great significance to the cultivation of Chinese core literacy.However,in practical teaching,teachers are influenced by utilitarianism,and the teaching mode is single,which cannot fully cultivate students’ core literacy.As an excellent traditional culture,ancient poetry,with concise language,profound connotation and implicit artistic conception,is an important carrier for cultivating students’ core Chinese literacy.Based on this,this research is based on the requirements of talent literacy in the new era,the requirements of Chinese education and teaching,the new curriculum standards and the development status of primary school students,explores the value of ancient poetry teaching in upper grades of primary school,uses the survey tools of ancient poetry literacy to understand the teaching situation of ancient poetry,and explores the effective teaching strategies for poetry.First of all,a literature review is conducted on core literacy,effective teaching,and ancient poetry teaching to understand the current research status and determine the research value.Based on this,the connotation of Chinese core literacy and its integral,implicit and staged characteristics are clarified.At the same time,it is also found that the excellent traditional culture of ancient poetry has significant advantages in improving students’ literacy.In order to give full play to this advantage,this study also organizes and analyzes the special style of ancient poetry,the learning characteristics of senior primary school students,and the content characteristics of ancient poetry textbooks,and the teaching of ancient poetry under the perspective of Chinese core literacy is discussed from the teaching objectives,teaching content and teaching methods.Theoretical research is to better solve practical problems.Therefore,a field investigation is conducted on the teaching of ancient poetry in upper grades of primary school,which indicates there are problems in the teaching of poetry that point to the content of the examination,pay attention to the accumulation of poetry,ignore the thinking training and cultural connotation,and dilute the students’ understanding,expression and aesthetic experience.The reason is the utilitarianization of teachers’ teaching objectives,the modelization of teaching process,the single teaching method and the limitation of teaching content.Aiming at the problems and reasons,the effective teaching strategies of ancient poetry are discussed,that is,the teaching objectives,teaching design and teaching resources are accurately grasped in the teaching preparation stage,and the teaching implementation process adopts multiple teaching methods such as creating situations,reciting poems,interesting activities,and interactive exchanges.In the teaching evaluation stage,the classroom evaluation strategy should be optimized and the timing of evaluation should be grasped.Finally,this study takes the “Everlasting Longing” teaching lesson of Mr.Wang Songzhou as an example to provide reference for the teaching of ancient poetry that promotes the cultivation of core literacy.
