Teachers’ identification of their profession greatly affects their working attitude.Subjective well-being is the primary criterion to measure mental health.It can indirectly affect the mental health status of individuals by changing their behaviors.Therefore,both teachers’ professional identity and subjective well-being have a certain impact on the healthy development of education.Physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools are an important part of the teaching team,shouldering the responsibility of quality education for students.It is a crucial factor for students’physical and mental health and all-round development,as well as a key factor for school teaching quality.Therefore,how to improve the professional identity of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools has become one of the hot issues concerned by the current education circle.Whether physical and mental health of PE teachers plays an important role in the development of education.Therefore,this paper studies the current situation of PE teachers’ professional identity and subjective well-being,analyzes the existing problems,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and measures,which have practical significance for improving PE teachers’ professional identity and subjective well-being.This study uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics to study the relationship between professional identity and subjective well-being of primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Xi’an urban area,and 451 primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Xi’an urban area.Based on the statistical analysis and research on the status quo of professional identity and subjective well-being of primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Xi’an city,the differences in demographic variables,and the correlation between professional identity and subjective well-being,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The professional identity and subjective well-being of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Xi’an city are good.2.There are significant differences in the professional identity of physical education teachers of primary and secondary schools in Xi’an city in teaching years,educational background,monthly income and other variables.The level of professional identity of PE teachers with teaching experience of less than 5 years is the highest,and that of PE teachers with teaching experience of 11-15 years is the lowest.The professional identity of PE teachers with bachelor’s degree is the highest,followed by those with junior college degree or below,and those with graduate degree are the lowest.Physical education teachers with a monthly income of more than 10,000 yuan have the highest professional identity,and those with a monthly income of less than 4,000 yuan have the lowest professional identity,and the income is proportional to the professional identity,the higher the income,the higher the professional identity.3.The subjective well-being of physical education teachers in Xi’an city has significant differences in academic qualifications,teacher establishment and income.The higher the education level,the stronger the subjective well-being of PE teachers;The subjective well-being of the physical education teachers in the program was higher than that of the teachers in the program.PE teachers with an average monthly income of more than 10,000 yuan had the highest subjective well-being,while those with an average monthly income of less than 4,000 yuan had the lowest subjective well-being.There was no significant difference in subjective well-being,life satisfaction and positive emotion among PE teachers with different teaching years,but there was significant difference in negative emotion among PE teachers with different teaching years,among which the teachers with 6-10 years of teaching years had the highest negative emotion.4.There is a correlation between professional identity and subjective well-being of primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Xi’an city,and professional identity affects subjective well-being.Among the five dimensions of professional identity,competence identity,emotional identity,and value identity have a significant positive influence on subjective well-being,and the influence is ranked from highest to lowest:emotional identity>value identity>ability identity.In response to the findings of this paper,we combine the relevant theoretical foundations and the research experiences of previous authors.From three levels:social,school and personal,some suggestions are made to improve the professional identity and subjective well-being of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools:(1)On the social front,increasing publicity and raising the social status of physical education teachers;Improving the mechanism for guaranteeing the treatment of teachers.(2)Optimizing the organizational environment in schools;We will improve school management and pay attention to humanization.(3)Personal improvement of their own teaching capacity;Achieve personal value.Through the investigation of this article,the corresponding solution is put forward,which can bring some help to the physical education work of Xi’an primary and secondary schools,so as to promote the sustainable development of physical education work in our country.
