Research On The Current Situation Of The Construction Of Private Kindergarten Teachers’ Professional Learning Community

Abstract/Summary:
In order to understand the current situation of the construction of private kindergarten teachers ’ professional learning community,analyze the problems in the process of construction,and put forward the construction strategy,this study investigates the current situation and puts forward the strategy of constructing private kindergarten teachers ’professional learning community,so as to provide more methods and measures for the professional development of private kindergarten teachers and enrich the research on teachers’ professional development.This study mainly uses the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to carry out empirical research on the construction of professional learning community of private kindergarten teachers.In the form of online questionnaire and unstructured interview,15 private kindergarten teachers and principals in Beijing were investigated.Through data analysis,this study shows the following conclusions : the construction of professional learning community of private kindergarten teachers is generally at the upper middle level,among which the dimension of ’ shared and supportive leadership ’ has the lowest score.Among all items,the average score of ’ common discussion and decision-making ’ is the lowest,and the average score of ’ communication system support ’ is the highest.In the dimension of " supportive conditions," " expert support " scored the lowest;in the dimension of ’ shared personal practice ’,the three items of ’ focus on teaching,feedback on teaching practice and multi-party evaluation of teaching results ’ have the lowest scores.In the dimension of " common values and vision," " communication generates decision-making " scored the lowest;in the dimension of ’ shared and supportive leadership ’,’ all discussions and decisions ’ scored the lowest.In the four dimensions of " shared personal practice," " supportive conditions," " shared values and visions " and " shared and supportive leadership," the influence of kindergarten level and category on the construction of teachers ’professional learning community has reached a statistically significant level;the influence of teachers ’ teaching age,education background,position and specialty on the construction of teachers ’ professional learning community has not reached a statistically significant level.The influence of kindergarten teachers with different professional titles on the two dimensions of " supportive conditions " and " shared and supportive leadership " in the community has reached a statistically significant level.The interview results support the above questionnaire data results.The research results show that the problems in the construction of private kindergarten teachers ’ professional learning community are : lack of external support;not enough attention to teaching;lack of democracy in the park,lack of leadership or lack of support awareness;the common vision lacks the integration of personal vision;there is no perfect platform for teachers to obtain information;ignoring the differences of teachers in the community;ignore the differences between the park,the organization to observe each other to learn less.In view of the problems encountered in the construction of private kindergarten teachers ’professional learning community,This study proposes the following construction strategies :establishing a mutually trusted environment to promote teachers ’ practical communication;form common values and visions;providing external support;improve managerial leadership and establish a democratic system.
