The socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered into a new time.At the National Education Congress in 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed that "efforts should be made to build an education system that comprehensively cultivates morality,intelligence,physical fitness,aesthetics and labour education",followed by the release of various policy documents on labor education.In 2020,China issued Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening College,Primary and Secondary School Labor Education in the New Era and Guidelines for Labor Education in Universities,Middle Schools,and Primary Schools,and in 2022,the Ministry of Education formulated Labor Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education,which can be seen that the country’s attention on labor education is constantly increasing,and it has gradually become an education hot spot.In the new era,school labor education for rural primary school students can not only help them establish the correct labor concept,improve their labor ability,but also cultivate their good working habits and quality through labor practice,and form a positive working spirit.At the same time,it can also promote the development of morality,intelligence,physical fitness,aesthetics and labour education,so as to achieve the purpose of integrated development.The study takes Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory and the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s discussion on labor as the theoretical basis of the study,takes students,teachers and parents of rural primary schools in L County as the research samples,and conducts a questionnaire survey and interview from aspects of the development of primary school labor education and parents’ support for primary school labor education.The survey found that the overall development level of the students’ labor literacy was not high and the development was uneven;Schools have few and often occupied labor hours,simple labor content,insufficient penetration of other disciplines,a shortage of teachers,insufficient teacher training,a lack of practice bases inside and outside the school,and a shortage of funds;The current situation is that parents’ understanding of school labor education is not comprehensive,and parents’ labor guidance to students is relatively casual.From the current situation,there is a deviation of students’ cognition of labor;The implementation of labor curriculum is not in place;School labor education teachers are relatively weak;School labor education conditions are not perfect;Parents’ support for school labor education is not enough.And then from the perspective of the problem,we found that traditional concepts are deeply rooted;The negative influence of exam-oriented education;The lack of supporting resources;And the lack of effective coordination between home and school.Finally,it puts forward to establish the correct cognition of labor education;School labor education curriculum implemented in place;Strengthen the construction of school labor education teachers;Improving labor education conditions in schools;The five countermeasures to improve the quality of family labor education in coordination with school.
