During middle age, individual emotions tend to stabilize and social responsibilities increase day by day.Through decades of practical experience, individuals have the ability to think independently and solve problems, adjust themselves appropriately to adapt to the current social environment, understand their social status, and maintain and construct social relationships centered on themselves and with the premise of maximizing benefits.Middle aged widowed women are in this period, possessing the advantages of being middle-aged and also bearing the family pressure of "old at the top, small at the bottom".Especially widowed women living in rural society with a continuation of clan beliefs face even greater pressure: economic debts left by their husband’s sudden death, the imprisonment of traditional social and cultural customs, and the evolution of social relationships. The article observes the current situation and evolution of social relationships among widowed women through the paradigm of social network analysis.Field research methods are adopted, including participatory observation,semi-structured interviews, and narrative analysis to collect data. The focus is on the social fact that middle-aged widowed women in R Village reconstruct social relationships, bringing this social group and its deep social relationships to the public and scholars.Starting from the transformation and reconstruction of the original husband centered social relationship among widowed women, this paper summarizes the causes of the transformation and the practical basis of the reconstruction, and analyzes one or more measures and paths taken for the reconstruction of the relationship. The essence of the reconstruction of social relationships among widowed women lies in the differential construction of social relationships. This reveals the manifestation and role of the differential pattern in the reconstruction process of social relationships among middle-aged widowed women in rural areas, and points out the expansion of the differential pattern in the reconstruction of social relationships among middle-aged widowed women in rural areas, which is influenced by both emotional and instrumental differential patterns, manifested as a pattern where emotions and rationality coexist.
